We are seeking an individual with exceptional interpersonal skills and digital marketing experience to join our Corporate Communications department. This highly motivated and creative individual will develop meaningful marketing campaigns that promote new products and services across all customer segments and consistently build awareness for our brand. This position combines business strategy with content development and multichannel communications experience to drive customer engagement with your community energy company.

  • Develops, manages and implements marketing campaigns to promote and support MGE's programs, products and services, and corporate brand
  • Works with a cross functional team in concepting marketing plans, including creative development with both in-house graphic designers and vendors; determines and organizes necessary resources and adheres to deadlines to ensure on-time campaign fulfillment
  • Uses analytics to develop and recommend, manage and optimize multichannel communications opportunities; develops measurement plans and target metrics for media buys
  • Manages multiple marketing budgets specific to each program area/project to maximize cost-effective use of resources
  • Understands emerging industry technologies, trends and opportunities that will drive performance metrics, including traffic to MGE's family of websites and other media, and to amplify overall brand awareness and customer engagement
  • Maintains positive working relationships with internal and external marketing partners, media and community partners
  • Reports timely feedback to project team on metrics related to campaigns/media buys
  • Identifies and negotiates corporate sponsorships to reach various customer segments; coordinates related deliverables, including the organization of necessary resources for MGE's presence at community events when needed
  • Manages corporate needs for promotional products, signage and banners for community events and sponsorships, employee and shareholder events

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Digital Media, Communications or a related field required)
  • 5-7 years of progressive marketing/advertising experience with a primary focus on digital marketing; 1-2 years of management preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of the overall media landscape, including traditional media resources but with special emphasis on digital tools such as email, social media, search and display, both web-based and mobile.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a cross functional team
  • Background in creative design, branding and marketing communications
  • Thorough understanding of brand strategy
  • Strong writing, proofreading and project management skills
  • Strong data analytics skills and ability to synthesize information into actionable insights
  • Ability to work with internal and external partners, and manage campaign budgets meticulously
  • Self-starter with proven track record of successfully managing multiple campaigns
  • Strong customer service lens
  • Multicultural marketing experience a plus
  • Experience working/managing in an advertising agency preferred
  • Experience with SalesForce, Oracle's Customer Experience (CX) and Microsoft Outlook tools a plus
