In addition to producing Summerfest presented by American Family Insurance, Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. maintains and develops the 75-acre lakefront parcel known as Henry Maier Festival Park, leasing the parcel from the City of Milwaukee through the year 2030, and hosting a variety of ethnic and cultural festivals, walks, runs, concerts and other events along with approximately 1.5 million patrons each year at the site. This position will build on a solid foundation of digital marketing and be responsible for developing, implementing, tracking, and optimizing digital campaigns across a variety of MWF events and Summerfest. Using multiple platforms, you will leverage, build and execute digital marketing strategies, ensuring the best in multi-channel delivery to achieve our core business objectives and targets. This position will have the responsibility of managing a seasonal assistant.

  • Create, manage and amplify digital/social advertising campaigns based on internal and external requirements to support all MWF-produced events/venues across our digital platforms
  • Use analytics tools and dashboards to monitor performance, report metrics and campaign analysis
  • Design, create, and distribute concert, event, or content email marketing campaigns, including copy, scheduling, testing, and database management to grow all email marketing lists
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with digital marketing managers and digital departments within promoter organizations, artist management, ticketing, and our core partners
  • Lead the creation of in-house short-form video/motion graphics for organic and paid social, websites, emails, video displays, etc.
  • Manage and track fulfillment of marketing and advertising trade and sponsorship agreements
  • Manage creating and maintaining content including emails, online surveys, online playlists, blogs, online contest promotions, sales promotions, and other related content for the websites in coordination and with direction from the Digital Marketing Director.
  • Analyze and assist in presentation of results Work closely with MWF Sales & Sponsorship team, partnering to develop creative content to meet sponsor goals, track, and report on results.
  • Oversee social media fulfillment for sponsorship management.
  • Research shows, artists, and talent in support of the development of digital marketing plans and promotions
  • Identify and engage brand champions/Influencers to build loyalty and affinity to further enhance brand communication to our audience.
  • Oversee data management from Center Stage related to marketing / communications information.
  • Seek out and execute promotional and special event marketing campaigns/opportunities to maximize awareness of Summerfest and other MWF events
  • Develop and grow community outreach programs with local businesses, colleges, and organizations
  • Attend MWF produced events/concerts on evenings, weekends, holidays to assist with capturing captivating content to use across all MWF channels
  • Work with colleagues to manage Photographers/Photography database
  • Assist Digital Marketing Director with management of all MWF-owned websites 
  • Manage budgets and invoices associated with social media, including advertising.
  • Train and supervise seasonal assistant within the marketing department to assist with social media and the development and implementation of all marketing aspects for events
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and productive work environment and ensure this intent is communicated and adhered to by all laterals and subordinates
  • Work with other departments in implementing contingency, continuity, and recovery plans
  • Communicate relevant information to department and others within the company within a timely manner through proper channels

  • Maintain positive, cooperative, team-oriented attitude and abide by all MWF Human Resources and Legal policies toward treatment of all MWF employees

Schedule Monday to Friday on-site, full-time, overtime, weekend availability.

  • Proficient in identifying target audiences, copywriting, analytics, and devising paid digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate potential buyers
  • Knowledge and understanding of best digital media buying practices. Including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Excels at research, can identify trends, threats and opportunities in digital media
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage various projects simultaneously. Able to adapt to changing priorities based on organizational needs
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills. Able to build and maintain cordial relationship with clients, peers, and people at all levels, using diplomacy, judgment, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • An affinity for music, the performing arts and events is helpful
  • Valid driver’s license
  •  Educational degrees or equivalent in-field, technical, military, or minimum 3 years of industry experience. BS/MS degree in marketing, advertising, entertainment, or a related field
  • To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the following software applications/packages: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, general knowledge of Content Management Systems.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company policies, budgets, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Foreign language skills are a plus.
  • Employee may be exposed to certain risks or hazards that are typically associated with an outdoor public venue.
  • Some travel may be required
  • Employee will frequently work overtime including evenings and weekends. Employee will be exposed to various weather conditions.

Compensation: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00. Benefits include dental insurance, health insurance, health savings account, life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, retirement plan, vision insurance.
