Digital Marketing Manager
Southwest Wisconsin
Madison, WI

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing the digital marketing strategy for WEDC. The Digital Marketing Manager oversees the targeting, production, distribution and measurement of content across WEDC’s multiple digital communication channels. This position ensures the accuracy, timeliness and brand-appropriateness of all information disseminated through WEDC online and social media properties.


The Digital Marketing Manager will spend the majority of his/her time in these activities:

  • Working collaboratively with the Marketing Team and external agency to develop and execute digital media communications strategies.
  • Ensuring the operational effectiveness of WEDC’s marketing-communications channels, including the effective integration of systems designed to segment target audience members by interest and track responses to marketing outreach.
  • Overseeing distribution of WEDC electronic newsletters.
  • Managing content on all WEDC website pages, maximizing functionality and informational resources to ensure value to end-users.
  • Advising and assisting WEDC departments on digital media tools appropriate for internal and external information dissemination.
  • Devising and implementing social media and other electronic communications programs for WEDC divisions.
  • Managing digital relationship marketing programs.
  • Creating new content for digital dissemination to target audiences.
  • Creating and analyzing traffic metrics to ensure proper utilization of budget.
  • Proactively identifying, designing, pitching and implementing digital marketing strategies.
  • Maintaining consistent brand image through all digital channels.
  • Leading educational efforts for internal divisional representatives on effective use of electronic communications tools.
  • Analyzing electronic communication effectiveness relative to marketing goals, reporting results and adjusting tactics as necessary.
  • Supporting WEDC event planning and execution.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in marketing, journalism or related field or comparable education/experience/training.
  • Minimum of five years of experience preferred.
  • Experience managing complex electronic campaigns.
  • Experience with WordPress content management system required.
  • Experience with Salesforce customer relationship management platform preferred.
  • Experience with Marketo or similar marketing automation platform preferred.
  • Experience in the use of graphics and design software preferred.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, management and monitoring applications.
  • Comfortable in a high-volume production environment and proven web design and maintenance experience

Other Requirements:

  • State-wide travel will occur on an occasional basis, less than 20% of the time.
  • Travel is anticipated to include day and overnight travel.
  • Based on the responsibilities of this position, this position may need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
