Position Summary:

The Digital Marketing Specialist plays a key role in developing and managing email, SMS and campaigns to convert the USCCA’s prospects into members. This role is responsible for helping drive company revenue, and has tons of opportunity to grow. He or she will be “hungry,” highly-organized and enjoy working in a fast-paced work environment, meeting important deadlines with quality output. They will be responsible for a variety of duties, including: content development and execution, email and SMS engagement, conversion optimization, project management and email journey maintenance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Follow the email strategy, including content and send strategy for non-members, and work with other team members to ideate and execute
• Coordinate the execution for email and SMS sends, including building and testing utilizing Salesforce Marketing Cloud
• Work alongside the Senior Marketing Manager to develop, execute and manage our promotional product strategies
• Attend bi-weekly Promotion Fulfillment meetings to coordinate inventory and requests for new promotional items
• Establish and optimize procedures related to the production and workflows of email content
• Support the execution of contact cadence, A/B testing, and customer segmentation
• Adhere to best send practices and CAN-SPAM laws
• Keep abreast of current digital trends, our target market behaviors, and other opportunities and consistently bring new ideas to the table
• Collaborate with our Compliance Director and Legal to create work that is both compliant and compelling

Skills/Abilities and Educational Requirements:

• BS/BA in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in the marketing or project management
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience a huge plus
• Industry knowledge of self-defense and firearms (A plus, but not required)
• High standards for attention to detail (Experience in project management is a plus)
• A “can-do” personality with a strong desire to learn and grow
• Proven time management skills in deadline-driven work
• Experience in G Suite and using a tech platform (e.g., SalesForce Marketing Cloud)
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with both creative and tech teams
