POSITION SUMMARY:

Manage end to end production of digital marketing strategies across email and social media. Create digital content that drives traffic, conversion, revenue, margin and maximizes profitability. Continually analyze customer behavior and program performance and implement new strategies and tactics accordingly.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

DIGITAL MARKETING-GENERAL

  • Develop on-brand marketing content aligned with Shopko Optical’s product and service offerings; ensure consistency of style, quality and voice 
  • Assemble and manage monthly calendar including digital content and assets library 
  • Effectively manage internal and external partnerships and budget 
  • Develop and maintain clear, concise documentation of digital marketing initiatives 
  • Evaluate new tools and technologies to ensure Shopko Optical stays relevant in the industry 
  • Identify new marketing opportunities by using competitive and industry markers

SOCIAL MEDIA

  • Grow social media presence and generates ideas for building brand image 
  • Manage all social media channels including design, creation, scheduling/posting and management of paid and organic social campaigns 
  • Manage ongoing community management for social media channels by monitoring and promptly responding to and interacting with social media followers 
  • Bring innovative ideas and recommendations to ensure the social media marketing remains modern, compelling, relevant and engaging

EMAIL MARKETING

  • Develop and deploy emails and supporting campaign assets in ESP platforms 
  • Create user segments, targeting logic, automations and appropriate email sending lists based on established campaign goals 
  • Manage multiple campaigns simultaneously (email messaging and landing pages) and adjust as needed to optimize results by performing A/B testing with regularity 
  • Ensure email campaigns comply with current email best practices in the industry 
  • Manage and monitor email list health, including number of subscribers, inbox delivery, unsubscribes, opt outs and spam complaints 
  • Ensure links are tagged via appropriate mechanism according to campaign details 
  • Optimize email campaigns using key factors (subject line, layout, segmentation, personalization, promotions, timing, etc.) 
  • Conduct QA marketing initiatives across browsers and devices

REPORTING:

  • Measure, monitor and report on social media and email performance, deriving insights from data and suggesting improvements to both strategy and tactics 
  • Complete other projects or reporting as assigned

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis on digital advertising, marketing or business management or equivalent work experience 
  • 2-4 years’ marketing or related business experience 
  • Strong Microsoft Office application skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access 
  • Familiar with third-party social media management tools 
  • Working knowledge of email service provider platforms 
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects while meeting different deadlines 
  • Collaborative personality and the ability to work within a team 
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Able to thrive within a fast-paced environment

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization through written and two-way verbal communication 
  • Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time 
  • Able to operate various office equipment (e.g., personal computer, telephone, fax machine, copier, etc.) 
  • Ability to see (Near, Distance, Color, and Depth Perception) 
  • Able to evaluate color 
  • Able to lift 10 to 20 pounds 
  • Able to view/read computer screen for extended periods of time 
  • Able to work normal and/or extended (evenings, nights, and weekends) office hours to meet established deadlines 
  • Able to travel independently to support Company objectives and personal development
