Travel Wisconsin is looking to hire a Digital Markeitng Specialist to integrate, evaluate and optimize marketing initiatives and content to drive growth across all digital channels.

Under the general direction of the Brand Strategy Marketing Manager, the Digital Marketing Specialist works with internal and external teams to integrate, evaluate, and optimize marketing initiatives and content to drive growth across all digital channels. This includes but is not limited to: TravelWisconsin.com, email marketing and marketing automation, search engine optimization, social media, and paid media. The Digital Marketing Specialist plays a key role in developing and applying digital marketing strategies to build brand awareness.

This position is headquartered at the Wisconsin Department of Tourism’s office in Madison, WI (3319 West Beltline Highway, Madison, WI 53708) and will have the option of working remotely up to 3 days per week upon agreement of the Supervisor. This schedule may change based on operational needs and organizational requirements.

Qualified applicants will have education, training, and/or work experience as it relates to:

  • Preparing and presenting detailed data and analytics reports 
  • Developing and maintaining websites using a content management system 
  • Email marketing processes and best practices 

In addition, well-qualified applicants will have:

  • Experience with digital marketing strategies, including search engine optimization 
  • Experience with marketing automation 
  • Experience in the tourism industry accessing, validating, and interpreting travel and tourism research to drive strategic decision making.

This position is in schedule-range 07-04 with anhourlysalary of $22.50-$27.50plus excellent benefits. A twelve month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan. This position is not exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
