The Digital Media Buyer is responsible for execution and management of digital media buys across social, display, native, audio and digital video. This person is a steward of our clients’ media dollars, providing expert oversight and hands-on management to drive results.

The role collaborates with a cross-functional planning team to conduct the RFP process, negotiate buys, determine winning message/target/placement strategies, and optimize campaigns using data, target knowledge and creative solutions. This role is also responsible for providing analytical reports and helping lead ongoing improvement of our digital discipline. We are a ‘We Before Me’ agency and team and so a desire to collaborate is a must. This role will report into our Associate Media Director and will have two direct reports.

  • Work with media planners to help inform strategic recommendations that meet client-marketing goals and objectives across digital media outlets and target audiences. Additionally, collaborate with traditional buyers and programmatic buyers to share learnings across tactics. 
  • Lead Request For Proposal development and field any media partner questions surrounding RFPs. Help evaluate returned RFPs and determine partner selections. 
  • Develop the final buy recommendation and buy summary, including advising revisions. 
  • Execute and manage digital media campaigns on behalf of clients, including negotiation, contracts, campaign set-up, billing reconciliation and QA. 
  • Own the daily maintenance and optimization of digital media campaigns to ensure successful delivery against established KPIs. Ensure projects are completed in a timely manner and remain on budget. 
  • Analyze performance data against the defined campaign success metrics (includes evaluation of creative performance) to identify larger trends across touchpoints and clients, and within category. 
  • Compile regular reports and provide performance insights that drive actionable, strategic campaign shifts 
  • Coach team of direct reports on platform knowledge, execution of optimizations, negotiations, problem solving, etc. to grow individual and team expertise. 
  • Collaborate with a team of curious, target-centric, marketing professionals
  • Minimum of four years’ media experience buying a variety of digital media types including social, display, audio, native and digital video. Knowledge should span all devices and include rich media execution. 
  • Possess up-to-date knowledge of the digital media marketplace including display, native, social and streaming video/audio. 
  • Experience with third-party ad servers, reporting dashboards and self-serve advertising platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Snap Ads Manager, etc.) 
  • Excellent communication skills, with a bias for transparent and open dialogue and an always-learning lens. 
  • Strong mathematic and analytical skills, as well as Excel expertise. Ability to analyze data and research in order to formulate actionable plans. 
  • Desire to grow culture of the team and agency as a leader and mentor.
