Position: Digital Media Coordinator

Reports to: Marketing Manager

Job Description:

Blue Harbor Resort & Conference Center is seeking a Digital Media Coordinator to help develop and deliver key content to build brand awareness and drive engagement amongst our audiences. This is a hands-on, on-site, position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Create an effective social engagement strategy that includes generating, editing, publishing, and sharing daily that builds meaningful connections
  • Build and execute a social media strategy through competitive research Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices, trending topics, current technology standards and market trends
  • Write effective press releases, prepare information for media kits, collaborate with marketing manager on monthly content calendar and assist with the creation of content
  • Monitor analytics and reports to identify successes and to evolve initiatives to provoke outreach, conversations and engagement
  • Develop new ideas and strategies for expansion on social media platforms
  • Create, proofread, and edit copy for various projects to ensure a consistent brand voice
  • Ability to capture content at live events
  • Maintain a solid understanding of Blue Harbor Resort’s mission, brands, products and services, markets and target audiences
  • Assist in designing, developing, and producing advertisements, print and digital signage for a wide range of projects, including ads, e-mail campaigns, menus, posters, and social media posting
  • Assist in updating and maintaining the internal display systems to ensure continuity of resort images and information

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, or Public Relations
  • Must have 2 -3 years of work experience in social media or related field
  • Self-starter with ability to work both independently and collaborate with managers
  • Must be grammatically proficient with a strong skill in creative writing
  • Detailed knowledge of photography and photo editing
  • Knowledge of travel/hospitality industry preferred
  • Ability to meet deadlines and on a daily basis and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Deep knowledge of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) as well as emerging channels that may be part of the future for Blue Harbor Resort & Conference Center’s social strategy
  • Proficient in use of software application such as Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics and Hootsuite highly desirable
