We’re looking for a Digital Media Director that will do more than just good work; we’re looking for a spirited and fast-moving “Digital Ninja” and we expect your digital media vision to propel us forward and upward – and mobilize the team for fast action.

You’ll be responsible for the successful management of Lessiter Media’s digital performance. You’ll be an innovator, a trendsetter, a teacher, and a progressive trail-blazing thinker who can connect digital to all aspects of our business and drive growth opportunities. You’ll have the vision, passion, leadership, and problem solving skills to tackle any digital challenge.

You’re the ideal candidate if you are highly creative, energetic and deeply knowledgeable about the latest digital media trends and website technologies.


1. Set digital media strategies, using all necessary tools (website, emails, social media, webinars, podcasts, video and blogs).

2. Develop strong, trusting relationships between all Lessiter Media departments. Manage expectations. Identify issues/concerns before they become problems. Propose solutions, advise and attack the problems. Make recommendations to improve.

3. Provide leadership, mentorship for digital media staff. Establish high departmental standards and serve user base with “can do” attitude.

4. Totally own digital content and its consumption and growth. Develop a total understanding of target audience and their online content needs.

5. Proactively study new digital revenue opportunities and bring them to publishers and sales to monetize your vision.

6. Work with content teams to improve and extend digital content reach and analyze metrics and recommendations for growth.

7. Analyze web traffic and recommend solutions to boost performance

8. Monitor SEO/SEM and sales performance metrics to forecast trends.

9. Keep up-to-date on new tools, technologies and identify new opportunities.

10.Hold annual In-House Digital Media Summit to keep all employees engaged, excited and updated on digital media projects and successes.

11.Competitive analysis. Monitor, analyze and report out on competition and other like media businesses. Evaluate new product “Launch-Lab” proposals.

12.Liaise with Marketing, Sales, Editorial, IT, Design and Content teams to optimize audience development, revenue opportunities, technology, user experience and content consumption.


1. Must have a passion to build our digital presence and performance.

2. Hands on experience with online marketing and content tools and practices.

3. Familiarity with web design and HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other programming applications.

4. Help manage and direct outside CRM, providing leadership and support during strategy and implementation.

5. Firm grasp of emerging digital tools. Strong analytical and project management skills.

6. Thorough understanding of content marketing/distribution strategies and best practices.

7. Deadline driven. Insightful and perceptive, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

8. The inherent drive to help others succeed and reach their digital goals.

9. Work with Digital Strategy Consultant and IT Director to improve sites and overall user experience.

10.Ability to work across a number of projects and balance your workload.
