If you have a passion for all things digital read on. We are looking for a well-rounded, seasoned digital leader with deep experience driving user experience strategy. The Digital Product Director is responsible for managing a team of Product Managers in the creation of the ideal prospect acquisition experience that meets both user and business needs. This position requires collaboration with key business leaders to develop and maintain a multi-year roadmap and the associated business cases that justify investment. You will also be responsible for delivering on the vision and demonstrate success via user feedback and supporting growth metrics.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and communicate an overall capabilities strategy, vision, and roadmap for assigned tools and experiences 
  • Innovate new ways to drive value, for the Customers and the Business, through assigned digital capabilities 
  • Partner with senior leaders from other functions (e.g. Digital, Marketing, Technology, Product Strategy, Operations, PMO, Sales, and Analytics) for planning, execution and delivery of roadmaps 
  • Partner with UHG Consumer Insights team to organize and conduct market research that informs and refines our digital experiences 
  • Utilize influencing skills to build a collaborative culture and foster relationships with both internal and external strategic partners 
  • Manage digital performance through the definition of, and measurement against, key business results and objectives 
  • Build a product culture which understands the importance of rapid testing, learning, and adjustment 
  • Collaborate with team members to prioritize digital needs based on user research, marketing insights, competitive intelligence, business needs, and trends in online technology and user experience 
  • Ensure a suite of digital solutions are delivered according to plan and budget, including identifying and resolving risks and issues 
  • Develop various communication elements to socialize/explain/educate stakeholders on digital strategy and respective delivery statuses 
  • Provide hands-on leadership to a team of Product Managers, Product Analysts and Product Owners 
  • Establish and maintain relationships with 3rd party agencies for services and skills required to support design and delivery efforts

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 
  • 8+ years of digital marketing experience 
  • Experience developing a multi-year digital strategy, focused on user and business needs 
  • Experience leading a team in the strategy, execution and optimization of digital user experiences 
  • Experience with analytics tools (i.e. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.) 
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing and user experience best practices including responsive design 
  • Understanding of DTC digital prospect acquisition and measurement 
  • Live within a commutable distance of this specific career opportunity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing agency relationships relative to UX and related activities 
  • Health care experience or experience in other interactive and digital industries such as retail and financial services 
  • Experience working successfully in a large, matrixed organization 
  • Healthcare experience 
  • Digital industry expert with a passion for staying current 
  • Understanding of content management systems (i.e. Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, etc.) 
  • Ability to create and refine processes toward efficient execution 
  • Ability to understand and optimize the entire user experience funnel, leveraging testing and personalization tools (i.e. Adobe Target, etc.) 
  • Strong empathy for consumers and a passion for understanding how to meet their needs 
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships to establish trust and credibility across a matrixed, cross-functional team
