Director, Growth Marketing
Northern Illinois
Itasca, IL

The Director, Growth Marketing will be responsible for multi-national lead generation efforts including the planning, implementation and reporting of marketing campaigns, tactics, and localization of content to deliver a desired lead generation outcome and promote the Flexera Software brand. The candidate should have experience in analyzing markets, targeting personas, defining metrics, managing budgets, measuring progress and delivering ROI. The candidate should have excellent communication skills. This role is a player/coach role with both management of resources and individual contributor responsibilities.

Reporting to the SVP of Marketing, this role is a player/coach role that will manage other demand generation resources, partner with multinational marketing teams, sales teams, and partner teams, as well as execute individual contributor responsibilities.


  • Global responsibility
  • Team Leadership: manage a team of local and/or remote demand managers, responsible for day-to-day management, goal setting, reviews and other performance indicators 
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures; coach and develop team members, supporting their professional growth 
  • Demand Generation: Plan, manage, implement and report on local lead generation campaigns and tactics including Webinars, Events, Advertising, Online Publications, Product Launches, Direct Mail, Email, Cross-sell Upsell Activity, SEO, PPC, Blogs, Video, Social Media, and Website, with appropriate localization for all of the above 
  • Ability to conduct Market Analysis, Research and Segmentation to target key personas 
  • Budget Management – to ensure all campaigns meet budget parameters 
  • Analysis, Metrics, Measurement, and Reporting of regional and campaign ROI 
  • Management of 3rd party vendors and agencies 
  • Manage internal and external communications for assigned campaigns and responsibilities 
  • Interaction and updates to product marketing, product management, and sales teams

Required Skills & Experience:

  • BS – in marketing or equivalent, MBA preferred 
  • 10+ years B2B marketing experience, of which 2+ years in a B2B IT / Software / High-Tech company 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Copywriting, proof-reading, editing text, and presentation skills 
  • Experience with marketing automation tools (Eloqua preferred) and CRM (SalesForce) 
  • Needs to be self-sufficient, happy to work independently or as part of a team, excellent organizational skills 
  • Proficient in computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and persuade others
