As a leader within the Fairview Creative Studio, the Integrated Creative Director has primary responsibility to lead and inspire a team of digital creatives and content makers in the development and production of creative assets in support of Fairview brands, businesses, partnerships, facilities, and key initiatives focused on internal and external audiences and stakeholders.

The Integrated Creative Director is a proven leader of people and teams, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume, high-impact environment. This role is expected to be proactive, solution-oriented, biased towards action and an exceptional communicator with strong interpersonal and effective collaboration skills. This individual plays a critical role in shaping and executing the organization's visual identity, marketing strategies and creative execution across a variety of platforms––including Digital Media, Video, Social, Events, Collateral, Presentations and Signage. The Creative Director is ultimately responsible for overseeing the development, production and delivery of compelling content that effectively communicates the healthcare system's mission, values, and services to both internal and external audiences.

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Integrated Creative Director works in partnership with the Marketing Director and Manager of Marketing Operations on the day-to-day Creative Studio functions. This triad works to foster a positive, high-performance creative culture within the department, while also playing an active role in building effective working relationships with internal partners, as well as external partners and stakeholders.

The Integrated Creative Director will directly oversee a team of digital-first, multi-channel creatives and content production specialists. Where needed, the Creative Studio, under the direction of the Integrated Creative Director, Marketing Director and Manager of Marketing Operations, may also engage external partners or agencies, as well as creative development tools (e.g. AI) in service to utilizing the most efficient and effective solution for each assignment.

This role requires a strategically grounded, persuasive, digital-first visionary with proven experience in developing work, leading teams and implementing innovative ways to tell a compelling and consistent brand story that aligns with corporate strategies, resonates with the organization's various audiences, and helps achieve brand and business goals.

Essential Functions:

  • Creative Leadership: Lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary team in producing high-quality, innovative visual, digital, and written creative content that aligns with the Fairview’s overall business goals, and brand strategy.
  • Hand-On Creative: In addition to leading the teams, this role also requires a willingness an ability to also concept, produce and deliver breakthrough work and ideas. A proficiency in digital-first creative is paramount.
  • Brand Strategy and Management: Ensure consistency and alignment with Fairview’s brand, voice, and values across all creative deliverables and channels––including print, digital, video, social media, signage, presentations, internal and external communications. Advise and partner with other team leads as a brand steward and champion the studio’s creative work throughout the organization, while also identifying new opportunities to integrate and extend the brand.
  • Team Management and Development: Manage and mentor a diverse team integrated, multi-channel creatives. Provide constructive feedback and foster an environment of continuous learning and creative growth.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Communications, Digital, Patient Experience, Recruitment, clinical services, and external partners to develop creative solutions that support business objectives and enhance audience/patient engagement and experience.
  • Campaign Development, Production & Execution: Lead the concepting, development and production/execution of multi-channel creative campaigns that resonate with both internal and external audiences––including patients, healthcare professionals, employee prospects, and the broader community. This includes overseeing all facets of the Fairview Creative Studio, including video production, digital assets, print materials, event activation, internal signage and more.
  • Innovation & Trends: Stay on top of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually evolve the organization’s creative direction and keep it fresh and relevant in the ever-changing healthcare landscape. In particular, this leader will play a key role in ensuring the implementation of Human-Centered Thinking and Design Principles across all facets of work produced in the Creative Studio and work to integrate innovative tools that can help to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of creative solutions.
  • Budget & Timeline Management: Work with Creative Studio Operations Lead to oversee creative project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of high-quality materials on time and within budget.
  • Performance & Optimization: Have accountability for the measurement and impact of creative assets on key performance metrics and adjust strategies and deliverables to continuously improve engagement and outcomes.

Required:

Education

  • B.S. / B.A. in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

Work Experience

  • 7 years Experience in a creative leadership role, preferably within healthcare, healthcare marketing, or a related industry. Proven success leading and managing a digital-first creative team.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and other design tools.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media platforms, and content creation for both online and offline channels.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong conceptual thinking with a keen eye for design, detail, and storytelling.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Strong understanding of Brand, Design, Creative and Creative Studio industry trends, regulations, and best practices––including project management, inclusive design, compliance, artificial intelligence and asset management
  • Demonstrated ability to guide and direct internal and external teams and, when needed, play the role of creative/maker, too
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media platforms, and content creation for both online and offline channels.
  • Proficiency in Project Management tools (Asana), Asset Management Tools; Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power-Point, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook

$136843.20-$193190.40 / Annual *based on full time (80 hours/ppd or 1.0 FTE).
