Job Purpose and Impact:

The Director of Leadership Communications will develop and execute coordinated internal and external communications strategies for key company priorities to shape partner perceptions. We seek an experienced professional who will drive prioritization, message development and communications strategy with cross-functional colleagues in a global, matrixed organization. In this role, you will build trust and influence senior leaders and collaborators at all levels, serving as a trusted advisor. You will be essential to building a narrative that delivers on our business objectives and fosters our mission of nourishing the world in a safe, responsible, sustainable way.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop strategy for using leaders’ voices to communicate key business priorities globally to drive engagement and adoption throughout the organization, shape external stakeholder perceptions, and enhance the company’s reputation. 
  • Develop turnkey tools and resources that align and coordinate messages. 
  • Coach leaders on delivery of messages. 
  • Develop strategy and oversee execution for key leadership meetings. 
  • Innovate around narrative, storytelling and format/presentation style. 
  • Collaborate with colleagues to align and advance key communications priorities within corporate channels. 
  • Identify new opportunities, and develop programs to continually enhance our communications approach. 
  • You will serve as an expert in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues/problems. You may provide direction to lower level team members and be a key contributor. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field 
  • Excellent writing abilities, including mastery of AP Style 
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to easily distill complex topics into clear messages 
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in communications roles, with at least four years writing for senior leaders. 
  • Strong business knowledge with a demonstrated ability to use communications to drive business strategy 
  • Strong executive presence with experience writing for senior leaders, and coaching them on delivery of messages 
  • Ability to think, plan and execute on multiple high-priority/visibility projects simultaneously
