Position Overview:

Molex is seeking a strategic and driven Director of Marketing Communications, Global Sales & Distribution Strategy to oversee the creation and execution of multi-channel campaigns to best achieve goals as outlined together with key stakeholders from Global Sales & Distribution. He/she will also work with a shared global team to exchange tactics and knowledge within each of the four regions in which Molex operates. This person will also interface with his/her counterparts from the various global marcom functional areas to identify opportunities that cut across regions/divisions and to share best practices.

Essential Functions:

  • Drive and develop strategy behind all marketing communications programs to support regional & distribution strategic objectives globally, as well as overseeing the effective implementation of these strategies, ensuring alignment with the Molex brand while addressing requirements of end users. 
  • Coordination and regionalization of effective value propositions; ongoing refinement of key messaging to be reflected in all marketing communications activities. Responsible for aligning regional content strategy, making sure it is designed to serve all marcom and PR needs identified in regional/distribution marcom strategy plans 
  • Define metrics to measure effectiveness of program and provide feedback to Marcom management as well as key stakeholders within Sales/Distribution. Install, manage and develop a team focus (internal and external) on measuring all activities against communication objectives 
  • Oversee relationship with regional suppliers and service providers in an effort to control expenditures, prioritize activities and maintain quality through all tactics and deliverables 
  • Manage all marcom investments used to support achieving the objectives of the respective regional programs and determining the methodology for how these results will be quantified. Develop and manage global program spend based on sales and distribution objectives 
  • Responsible for providing ongoing team assessments to VP Global Marketing Communications, in an effort to develop a global team that will deliver flawless and effective execution of all marcom programs

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising or Related 
  • 10+ Years in Business-to-Business Environment 
  • International/Global Experience 
  • Electronics Industry Experience 
  • People management Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Business Administration or Marketing Communications 
  • Digital Marketing best practices 
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing

Skills and Abilities:

  • Maintain working knowledge of global/regional industry and competitive activities to develop effective marketing communications campaigns to prospects and customers 
  • Strong strategy orientation 
  • Strong leadership skills 
  • Understanding and appreciation for business processes and operations 
  • Initiative to start new projects, be willing and able to promote new ideas and the conviction to carry projects through to completion
