For more than 50 years, Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers has provided medical, behavioral, and environmental health services to the underserved communities on the south side of Milwaukee and in Waukesha. Our mission is to improve health and well-being by providing quality, patient-centered, family-based health care, health education and social services, free from linguistic, cultural, and economic barriers. A strategic and creative thinker, the Director of Annual Giving will create and execute comprehensive fund development strategies that increase individual and corporate giving at all levels of the annual giving pipeline.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute plan for ongoing donor recognition and stewardship. 
  • Monitor and evaluate fund development results against established metrics for continued improvement. 
  • Coordinate donor meetings for VP of Advancement and prepare necessary presentation materials. 
  • Grow and manage agency’s volunteer program. 
  • Manage donor database; ensure accuracy of gift entry and reporting.
  • Draft and lead creation of donor communications. 
  • Work with VP of Advancement to ensure adherence to fund development policies and procedures. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • Minimum 3-5 years of fund development experience with proven success in all facets of annual giving. 
  • Experience with fundraising and data management systems; Donor Perfect is highly desirable. 
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations and processes related to charitable giving and nonprofit operations. 
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, problem solving, managing people and budgets. 
  • Ability to work on selected weeknights and weekends as required. 
  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential matters and information. 
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software. 
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred.
