The Director of Brand Marketing oversees the strategic direction and operational excellence of RYTECH's brand marketing initiatives, primarily focusing on social media marketing, email marketing, and content marketing operations. This role ensures that brand content across web, ad channels, social, and email achieves maximum effectiveness and efficiency while maintaining RYTECH's standard of excellence. The Director of Brand Marketing is a key leader in scaling brand marketing processes, mentoring team members, and maintaining direct client relationships to ensure growth alignment and platform expertise.

This position collaborates closely with the VP of Digital Strategy, VP of Marketing Operations, and future Director of Performance Marketing to support brand marketing initiatives and overall client goals while maintaining operational consistency and scalability across the agency.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Provide direct management and mentorship to email marketing leads, social media leads, and content leads/content marketing associates.
  • Assist in hiring, onboarding, and professional development for social media strategists, email strategists, and content marketing associates.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the brand marketing team while ensuring alignment with agency-wide practices.

Strategic Brand Marketing Oversight

  • Guide overall social media strategy across all platforms utilized by RYTECH clients, ensuring strategies are innovative, effective, and aligned with client objectives.
  • Oversee high-level operations of social media marketing and email marketing teams, providing strategic direction and operational support.
  • Collaborate with client strategy development, particularly for brand marketing initiatives and organic content approaches.

Content Marketing & Brand Efficiency

  • Focus on maximizing both effectiveness and efficiency of all brand content across web, social, email, and advertising channels.
  • Lead the development and optimization of organic brand content strategies, with particular emphasis on email, social media, and web content.
  • Create and maintain templates, SOPs, and scalable processes for brand content creation to ensure consistency and quality across all deliverables.

Client Management & Project Oversight

  • Oversee brand marketing projects and retainer relationships, maintaining direct client communication and ensuring project success.
  • Maintain a scaled client base to preserve hands-on familiarity with platforms, software, and current best practices being recommended to clients.
  • Ensure brand marketing deliverables meet client expectations

Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Partner with the VP of Digital Strategy to align brand marketing strategies with overall client marketing approaches.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Marketing Operations to ensure brand marketing processes are efficient, scalable, and properly resourced.
  • Work closely with other leads to ensure brand marketing initiatives complement and enhance other service line efforts.
  • Proven experience managing brand marketing teams and operations in a digital agency environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking with demonstrated ability to develop and execute comprehensive social media and email marketing strategies.
  • Experience with content marketing operations, including template development and SOP creation for scalable content production.
  • Direct client management experience with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Hands-on expertise with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and content management systems (Sprout Social, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Hubspot, Meta Properties, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to balance strategic oversight and operational execution.
  • Collaborative leadership style with experience mentoring and developing marketing professionals.
  • Strong eye for brand consistency and content quality across multiple channels and platforms.
  • Remote (Residency in Illinois or Wisconsin is required; in-person team meetings twice per quarter)
