The Alverno College Admissions Department has a great opportunity for a marketing/communications professional to provide leadership and supervision for communications and events focused on the recruitment of students.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the communications strategies for Admissions including print publications, letters, advertising, marketing, events, web and electronic communications.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communication Department to develop advertising and marketing strategies that support new student enrollment.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of new initiatives that strengthen ties to the community and create recruitment opportunities.
  • Monitor department budget and assist in its preparation. 

Requires a minimum of five to seven years of experience in marketing, communications, and project management. Previous experience in promotional writing, market research, or knowledge of/experience in development of electronic media/multimedia presentations is preferred. In addition, the successful candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in managing marketing/communications initiatives, flexible and collaborative work style, exceptional organizational abilities and the ability to coordinate multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • An understanding of and willingness to support the Alverno College mission.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills including the ability to speak effectively before groups, respond professionally and in a timely manner to questions or requests, and write reports and correspondence.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • A valid driver's license with a driving record that meets the qualifications of an Alverno driver.
  • The ability to occasionally work at non-traditional times (evenings and weekends)
