Charter Manufacturing is searching for a Director of Communications to work out of our Mequon, WI corporate HQ. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing our organization's culture and communication strategies. You will be responsible for developing and implementing initiatives that foster a positive work environment, reinforce our company's values, and strengthen internal and external communication. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Internal Communication: Develop and execute internal communication strategies that keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with the company's goals and values. Write, edit and prepare internal materials. Evaluate communication mediums and make recommendations based on needs. Partner and support all Business Unites on their communications strategy 
  • Executive Communications: Provide guidance and support to executive leadership on communications surrounding business continuity including emergencies and risk management. 
  • Culture Strategy: Facilitate the development and deployment of the culture and engagement roadmap in line with Charter Manufacturing's mission, vision and values. Work to ensure cultural changes are embedded across all levels and in alignment with overall business strategy and outcomes. 
  • Employee Engagement: Lead Charter Manufacturing's employee engagement strategy including engagement survey, recognition program and cultural integration 
  • Brand Reputation: Establish and maintain a positive corporate reputation by managing external communications, public relations, media relations and employment brand. Drive social media strategy across Charter Manufacturing

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated experience leading and implementing employee communication programs to support culture, strategy, and organizational transformation. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. 
  • Eight plus years’ broad-based experience in public relations, corporate communications, and/or internal communications. 
  • Exceptional skills in helping leaders and organizations define and develop messages that are clear, concise, creative, and persuasive using various methods (print, video, digital). 
  • Ability to present various initiatives in a clear and compelling framework that helps stakeholders understand how discrete actions support a broader agenda. 
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills and experience working in a communications counselor capacity with senior leaders.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development or a related degree.
