The Director of Content Development leads the content development for TIU in order to support the overall vision, mission and goals of TIU. This position is ultimately responsible for the discovery, tracking, creation and archiving of written and digital (video and photo) content for use in print, presentation, web, and social media materials. Excellent storytelling, writing, proofreading and project and team management skills are critical to the success of this position. This position collaborates closely with the VP, Marketing Communications and Directors of Digital Comm and Strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop networks with students, faculty and alumni, in addition to establishing processes for proactively identifying, tracking and collecting and archiving of story ideas and final files for use in key marketing tools which includes, but is not limited to social media, website stories, newsletters and print collateral. Responsible for creating content for all editorial formats and most digital formats. 
  • Manage personnel (videography and photographer) and constituent networks and workflow, as well as budget, procedures, and equipment. 
  • Develop, maintain and adhere to editorial guidelines, in addition to ensuring overall quality and alignment of the brand with the creation of all content by proofreading MarComm collateral for adherence to standards. 
  • Keep up-to-date on best practices and of storytelling through print and digital formats in both higher education, as well as the marketing industries.

Requirements:

  • Supportive of Trinity’s mission and core values, commitment to a Christian lifestyle, and demonstration of character in keeping with biblical models. 
  • BA required with 7+ of proven experience leading marketing and communications teams. 
  • Excellent writing and communication skills. 
  • Proven management of teams, personnel, and projects. 
  • Thorough understanding of the tradition, theology and values of Evangelical Christianity.
