Reporting to the Chief HR Officer, the Director of Corporate Communications will serve as a key member of the Regal HR leadership team. This is a hands-on role that is responsible for developing and executing strategic, global internal and external communications plans and activities to drive associate engagement and alignment to Regal’s Business System (RBS)—which includes our Values / Purpose / Mission / Vision, DEI strategy, talent acquisition & retention and business priorities—to excite potential job candidates and to inspire customer loyalty and investor confidence.

This subject matter expert will be responsible for partnering with the various HR Centers of Excellence (i.e., Talent Acquisition, DEI, Segment HR leaders) to build and implement communications strategies that outline Regal’s value proposition to external candidates, build the company’s reputation as an employer of choice and position Regal as a leader in the markets we serve.

With guidance from the CHRO, VP of Talent and HRLT, the Director of Corporate Communication will play a central role in designing and implementing the global internal engagement strategy to advance the alignment of our 20,000 global associates to the company’s strategy and culture.

In partnership with the VP Investor Relations, along with other key leadership team members, this role will also support external communication of key Regal messages, including our Annual Report and annual Sustainability Report. This role will also manage all corporate related webpage communication.

This leader will promote strong communications and collaborate with Regal’s four global business segments, corporate executives and the CEO.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a hands-on experienced leader who has deep subject matter expertise and a desire to build a communications framework that delivers measurable value.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This dual role will spend approximately 75% of time on internal communications and program support, and 25% on external communications, including market/investor communication, events, media, webpage management, etc.

Internal Communications:

  • Develop a consistent internal and external employee brand messaging strategy that articulates Regal’s Employee Value Proposition (EVP). 
  • Ensure consistent messaging is incorporated across all communication platforms, including message alignment, cadence, and linkage to priorities and establish communications protocols to support effectiveness of messaging. 
  • Establish communication tools and processes, including partnering with the IT organization in the development of modern, innovative tools (including a corporate intranet) to improve internal communications flow. 
  • Provide strategic communications advice and guidance to leadership specifically related to effective communications regarding strategy articulation, strategic initiatives, change management and employee engagement. 
  • Identify, research, and write informative and engaging content for employee communications and target external audiences, including partnering with Segment Marketing on social media, industry and/or mainstream news outlets as appropriate, depending on topic and situation. 
  • Develop key messages and talking points, assisting with strategic communication requirements for leadership, including presentation development, memoranda and video scripts. 
  • Identify and build relationships with media contacts, aligned with communications strategy. 
  • Develop relationships with internal teams, vendors, agencies and other partners to promote an integrated communications approach across the global organization, as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with select agencies and contractors required to meet strategic goals and business objectives, while staying within budget.

External Communications:

  • Support the ESG (Environment/Social/Governance) strategy and associated programs (in partnership with relevant executives), ensuring strong communications across all internal and external stakeholders to fully leverage this area as a business strength.
  • Manage all external communication on Regal’s corporate webpage, ensuring effective messaging and a ‘current’ approach to differentiate Regal’s corporate site from other competitors.
  • Drive best-in-class external communications materials (Annual Report, Corporate Social Responsibility) ensuring alignment to Regal’s values, purpose, mission, and vision.
  • Support Investor Relations (IR) programs, providing message development and support for quarterly earnings and other financial announcements, and work with IR to identify key media opportunities with top tier media, trade publications, analysts, etc.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will have proven experience inbuilding and managing a global communications function to deliver value to an enterprise. In addition, s/he will have the demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization. This leader must have the passion, energy and intellectual curiosity necessary for a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.

  • 10 years of progressive experience with corporate communications within a global organization 
  • Bachelor’s degree, with a superior capability to communicate in writing and verbally 
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver value 
  • A passion/obsession for anticipating “what’s next”, how the world is evolving and the ability to integrate actions into the communication strategies quickly 
  • Ability to use analytics to identify and drive communication opportunities for the business
