Role Purpose:

Get the opportunity to reinvent client interactions at the world’s leading data analytics and brand consulting firm. Reporting to the NA Head of Marketing, the Director of Event Marketing oversees all aspects of in-person and virtual events at Kantar, including both hosted gatherings and third-party conferences. Responsibilities will include determining the event strategy and calendar along with managing budget for a busy schedule that could include one major multi-day hosted event along with 3-4 smaller half-day events and 5-10 sponsorships per year.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of event sponsorship programs, including identifying events to sponsor, negotiating sponsorships and implementing sponsorship programs 
  • Manage all aspects of hosted events, including researching venues, working with company leaders on developing agendas and content, managing attendee invitation process and ensuring events run smoothly onsite, in collaboration with vendors where appropriate 
  • Create a strategy and approach for virtual and hybrid events 
  • Collaborate with content teams on setting event agendas and themes 
  • Collaborate with domain experts on commercial team training programs 
  • Assist with management of major internal events such as sales conferences

  • Ability to extract results by working collaboratively with others, and communicating effectively and positively 
  • Ability to probe and discover in order to come out with pragmatic and creative solutions 
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to juggle multiple priorities and occasional heavy workload with a positive attitude 
  • Strong team player who has high energy and a positive outlook.

Experience:

  • 5-7 years of marketing experience with a focus on events 
  • Ad agency or market research experience a plus 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop marketing plans and campaigns (such as paid advertising, email, social media and SEO marketing campaigns) and to analyze and detail results.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or degree equivalent
  • Fluency in English – verbal and written. Additional languages are always helpful.
