ADM is actively seeking for a dynamic and seasoned individual to join our team as a Director Of Global Internal Communications. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and implement comprehensive business communication strategies and programs that will actively engage and inform employees across the organization. Your role is instrumental in ensuring a thriving corporate culture, igniting enthusiasm among emails while remaining in sync with ADM’s strategic goals. This role is located in out Chicago, IL office, offering a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in-office per week).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business communication strategy that aligns with ADM’s business objectives and enhances employee engagement. 
  • Provide guidance to senior leaders on effective communication practices, including messaging, content development and delivery methods. 
  • Lead and manage a team of 3 direct and 4 matrixed Global Business Communications professionals, offering guidance, coaching and support to drive ADM’s business objectives. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Human Resources, Government Relations, Legal and Regulatory Affairs, and Executive Leadership, to create and deliver consistent messaging that informs, motivates, and engages employees. 
  • Create and oversees the execution of communication plans for pivotal organizational initiatives, encompassing business transformations, cultural change, and strategic announcements. 
  • Partner closely with the External Communications and Social Media teams to amplify positive internal stories and initiatives with external audiences, to enhance ADM’s reputation and brand awareness. 
  • Identify and curate captivating stories from employees throughout the organization to showcase both internal and external communication channels, highlighting their achievements, unique experiences and invaluable contributions. 
  • Drive the development and management of Business Communications channels, including intranet, video, emails, town halls, and digital platforms, to ensure effective outreach to employees at every level and various locations. 
  • Diligently assess and measure the impact of Business Communications initiatives, by utilizing both data-driven insights and feedback to enhance our strategies and tactics. 
  • Discover industry trends and keep best practices in Business Communications and incorporate innovative approaches into ADM's communication strategy. 
  • Effectively manage crisis communications and ensure prompt and accurate information to employees during demanding and sensitive situations.

Job Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience in Business Communications, corporate communications, or related roles, preferably in a large, global organization. 
  • Demonstrate effective leading and managing diverse business communication teams. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages that resonate with a wide range of audiences. 
  • Robust strategic thinking and planning capabilities, with a demonstrated history of planning and executing successful business communications strategies. 
  • Proficiency in leveraging a multitude of communication channels and tools including digital platforms and social media. 
  • Ability to cultivate relationships and collaborate effectively with individuals across all levels and backgrounds within the organization. 
  • Outstanding project management skills, including the capability to oversee multiple priorities and deliver exceptional results within demanding timelines. 
  • Knowledge of change management principles and practices is desirable. 
  • Experience in the agriculture or food industry is a plus.
