Interlachen Country Club is seeking a Director of Marketing and Communications. The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for overseeing all internal and external Club communications. They lead the development and execution of the Club’s annual communications plan and brand strategy and continually seek new and innovative ways to reach and engage members and team members through various communications channels.

What you will do:

  • Provide leadership to the Communications Department 
  • Oversee the design, editing, production, and distribution of all internal and external Club communications 
  • Develop annual marketing and communications plan and brand strategy 
  • Facilitate the creative process for new projects, engaging key stakeholders to achieve design objectives 
  • Manage department workflow and production schedule to meet deadlines; coordinate with department leaders to meet needs 
  • Stay abreast of new and innovative communication strategies; utilize data to improve reach, effectiveness, and engagement of communications 
  • Assist as an in-house designer for Club print and digital marketing and communications materials, including logos, menus, newsletters, recruitment materials, training guides, presentation templates, informational sheets and booklets, email templates, survey templates, and posters/signage 
  • Keep up-to-date on current Club systems 
  • Coordinate website and mobile app updates 
  • Create, edit, and proof executive communications 
  • Troubleshoot member issues with club communications and technology 
  • Develop Club-wide social media strategy and oversee content development 
  • Partner with General Manager and CEO and Assistant General Manager on strategic projects

Who we are looking for:

Education and Experience

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field 
  • 5+ years experience in a marketing/communications/design role 
  • Past experience in management and leadership role

Talents and Skills

  • Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat and comfortable utilizing them to create multiple types of digital and print projects 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications 
  • Basic video editing and photography skills, or open to learning 
  • Confident in writing and editing for a professional environment 
  • Experience with email marketing systems and social media
