Job Purpose and Requirements:

This role is responsible for creating and managing an enterprise-wide marketing strategy that fully supports the company’s overall goals and objectives. In addition to leading the Downstream Marketing team, the role is responsible for developing strategic marketing plans and go-to-market strategies, as well as executing/measuring the elements of those plans and strategies. Key performance metrics include revenue and profitability attainment of each business category, incremental demand generation, brand awareness, brand equity, customer loyalty and net-new customer acquisition. The role partners with the Upstream Marketing team and others cross functional teams to collaborate and launch successful go-to-market strategies that enable the sales team, differentiate the company and provide an exceptional customer experience.


  • Create strong brand awareness and marketing strategies in the company’s target markets, leading to increased customer loyalty, net-new account growth and increased brand awareness with buyers, influencers and other key audiences. 
  • Lead/manage the Downstream Marketing team and serve as a trusted marketing expert for senior leadership, the sales team, regional teams, acquired companies and business partners. 
  • Evolve the company brand with the intent of increasing its competitive differentiation and awareness in target markets. 
  • Achieve specific and measurable results for demand generation, incremental sales, brand awareness and brand equity while maintaining established budget parameters. 
  • Develop and optimize the company’s digital marketing strategies and safeguard the company’s digital presence, including the company website, social media accounts, digital advertising and demand generation campaigns. 
  • Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure brand consistency, equity and security. 
  • Oversee marketing efforts in trade shows, customer testimonials/references, sales tools, sales meetings and webinars.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics:

  • Deep expertise in brand management, digital marketing, demand generation, event management, sales tool development, staff development, vendor management and budgeting. 
  • Ability to influence different levels of management and lead direct, cross-functional, and cross-regional teams. 
  • Proven leadership skills, expert project management skills and high attention to detail. 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills. 
  • Strong strategic thinking skills and a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems. 
  • Ability to build partnerships and optimize relationships with internal and external clients and vendors. 
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite. 
  • Experience with Adobe CS, CRM, marketing automation (Hubspot preferred), marketing analytics and web content management systems. 
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Background Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in corporate marketing, including experience leading teams in a healthcare and business-to-business marketing environment. 
  • Academic background in marketing, business, technology or related field. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA preferred. 
  • Experience with Challenger Selling preferred.
