The Director of Marketing will be responsible for executing a proactive, effective marketing strategy, which maximizes revenue, enhances web presence and increases guest loyalty for the Resort.

The Director of Marketing will collaborate with the CEO, Executive Committee, Sales, Revenue Management, Restaurant Marketing and Distribution Teams, Other Market-specific Team Members.

  • Acquisition and retention marketing efforts designed to drive website traffic and reservations, which includes paid, organic and local search marketing, display advertising, social media advertising and other enhanced presence on third party e-channels.
  • The management of the hotel websites and development of enhanced content areas with attention to the Properties compliant look and feel, presentation of the product both visually and textually, ease of site navigation and access to purchasing information, along with site analytics.
  • Oversee and provide strategic direction in carrying out advertising, promotions and public relations.
  • Develop and execute short and long-range marketing and advertising plans to enhance market share and profit growth.


Will have hands-on digital marketing experience in the hospitality industry.

  • A skilled management style that exemplifies strong leadership and consulting capabilities, in addition to the ability to effectively prioritize and delegate tasks and projects.
  • Experience managing direct report(s) with a track record of motivating team results and fostering internal growth. 
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills and experienced with interpreting digital KPIs and analytics data. Experience with Google Analytics and/or Adobe Site Catalyst, Google Adwords, and Tableau preferred. 
  • Firm grasp of how to test marketing tactics and achieve performance metrics.
  • Experienced with spreadsheet and presentation applications, and possessing the aptitude and desire to learn new technology Demonstrated ability to foster ideas and growth among a team. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Well organized and detail oriented, with a high sense of accountability and integrity.

 Reports to the General Manager.


This position will be based at the Property. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Media planning, execution and management with a focus on budget, ROI, performance metrics, through various digital marketing activities that include (but are not limited to) organic search (SEO), paid search (PPC), meta search, remarketing, media buying, display, link acquisition, local search, and social media marketing; carried out in conjunction with partner firms and marketing team members 
  • Assist revenue management and distribution teams with strategies and tactics to increase contribution of reservations though hotel website 
  • Leads digital strategy communication with hotel ownership and monthly/quarterly business review meetings Work with vendors to manage paid search, display, paid listings, and pay-for-performance advertising opportunities on various third party channels and websites 
  • Conduct regular audits of website content and images to ensure its accuracy, consistency and timeliness. 
  • Conduct regular audits and identify key areas of opportunity for content management across the Properties digital assets and other online entities, such as travel review sites; carried out in conjunction with Social Media Manager 
  • Participate in and help lead hotel and market-specific strategy sessions, hotel digital marketing review calls, as well as weekly/monthly calls for hotel watch list, and yield meetings 
  • Participate in weekly and regularly scheduled departmental meetings with the digital marketing and revenue/distribution teams 
  • Monitor, measure, and analyze campaign performance metrics, digital activity data and market research findings on a weekly basis, with the ability to immediately identify and react to changes; design test strategies to optimize results 
  • Make use of web analytics and market research tools to gauge campaign performance, spot trends and provide monthly reports to hotel leadership teams 
  • Proactively make recommendations and follow established brand strategies to improve creative and copy development, to increase results and meet performance objectives and drive operational efficiencies 
  • Coordinate strategic and tactical information between outside vendors and internal team members to establish a pace of accomplishment; cultivate vendors' understanding of the Properties brand; develop understanding of business requirements and articulate needs to internal team members to enhance processes 
  • Acts as a participant and consultant in all relevant aspects of social media marketing, to engage customers with hotel properties and the brand and to teach other team members best practices for participation in social media 
  • Stay current on emerging technology, providers, and trends that could have a positive impact on hotel digital presence, revenue derived from digital efforts and the overall performance of the Properties digital marketing initiatives


  • Bachelor's Degree required 
  • Minimum five years' experience in digital marketing, content development, web analytics and social media marketing.
