Position Details

Director of Marketing
Twin Cities Metro
Minneapolis, MN

The Marketing Director will oversee, coordinate, and participate in the development of marketing strategies and products for the organization.

This position provides support to several areas of Marketing and Business Development. Responsible for administration, coordination, and production of corporate communication and business development process support materials. This position provides key support to our business market segments including coordination and development of high-quality company communications working with internal and external stakeholders to support customer contact activities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains supervisory and management staff in the department.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department. 
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations. 
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees and in accordance with company policy.

Job Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the strategic and tactical execution of marketing campaigns, including design of test/control segmentation, implementation of tests, tracking, results reporting, analysis, and recommendations. 
  • Manage conception, development, and implementation of marketing plan and strategies, product concepts, and promotional programs to drive interest and sales. 
  • Collaborates with senior executives to develop growth plans for the organization. 
  • Identify short-term and long-term scheduling, budget, and resource needs, including the development and management of an annual marketing budget, profit/loss projections, expenditure spending, and other financial considerations 
  • Works with outside marketing and PR firms to develop and maintain Rise Branding through all marketing efforts. 
  • Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends in order to translate results into actionable insights for marketing team 
  • Develops and maintain social media 
  • Develops and prepares marketing collateral and production of both an internal and external Rise newsletter and assists with collecting content for a company newsletter. 
  • Manages periodicals and subscriptions. 
  • Coordinates and maintains company photography and videography. 
  • Assists Director of Sales with implementing targeted customer acquisition efforts. 
  • Assist Director of Sales with forecasts and tracking the business development budget. 
  • Monitor and research current customer data to identify potential new markets and customer prospects. 
  • Participates as required in community events to enhance Rise’s image and promote the corporate brand. 
  • Manages corporate participation in professional associations and assists with growing a network of business opportunity contacts through regular Marketing and Business Development meeting involvement. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Experience with digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing 
  • Proven ability to plan and manage budgets. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 
  • Knowledge of database coordination and Salesforce (CRM) preferred

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field required, Master’s degree preferred. 
  • At least 10 years of experience in marketing and long-range planning required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
