About this Position:

We are seeking an experienced, driven, and detail-oriented Director of Marketing to create and lead a wide variety of marketing initiatives, and ensure that they are executed throughout the marketing, production and creative teams with excellence. You will be responsible creating and leading the execution of marketing strategies and tactics that drive consumer awareness, consideration, and sales for current and new consumers/customers/shoppers. Slumberland is growing and doing exciting things. This is a full role that someone who is passionate about marketing will love.

In this key role, you will:

  • Be part of the senior marketing team creating and influencing strategy. 
  • Create marketing plans to meet key strategic goals, both company-wide and for specific markets, store openings, sale promotions or everyday branding and advertising. 
  • Manage sales and marketing activities from ideation to team execution. This includes TV, radio, in-store elements, email, direct mail, influencer, all forms of digital and more. 
  • Actively participate in the ideation process leveraging and bringing insights in via new research, your past experience, or analytics to create consumer or competitive insights.
  • Lead and create marketing plans for our style or sale-focused events. 
  • Partner with senior marketing leadership to develop seasonal and annual brand marketing calendars that support business plans and priorities. 
  • Identify and pursue localized marketing opportunities like sponsorships, local events, and community activations. 
  • Lead the marketing production team and ensure global consistency in execution of marketing initiatives across all consumer touchpoints and across the end to end customer lifecycle, partnering with our creative team, digital marketing and our agencies to ensure work aligns with briefs, strategies and business objectives.

About You:

You are an experienced Marketing Director with some large company (preferably CPG) experience and ideally your Master's in Marketing. You have a passion for the full spectrum from vision to strategy to plans and execution. You should enjoy home furnishings, sleep, and home decor. Your innate curiosity continually leads you to find new and innovative ways to connect with consumers. You understand digital marketing and are always looking for ways to better integrate campaigns between online and offline. With a strategic and creative mind, experience leading a team of at least four people, and a track record of pushing strategies from idea to execution, you're perfect for this role.


  • 10+ years experience, 3+ as a manager with direct reports 
  • 4+ years of marketing planning and strategy 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
