The WCO seeks a full-time Director of Marketing to lead, grow, and execute the Orchestra's world-class marketing and brand strategy to promote our concerts through multi-channel marketing, creative campaign direction, earned and paid media marketing, and marketing team management.

The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra (WCO), a sixty-two-year-old non-profit arts organization in Madison, WI, seeks a full-time Director of Marketing to join our dynamic team to lead the orchestra in executing a successful marketing strategy to drive the awareness and relevancy of our mission and artistic productions.

We are looking for someone who is ready to take their strong marketing background and apply it to a fast-paced and entrepreneurial arts organization to ensure that the marketing and brand strategy align to help execute on organizational key strategies and mission. This position will support our advancement in promoting accessibility and equity across all of our programs.

  • Passion for the arts and knowledge of arts marketing and/or classical music
  • Hands-on creative development, writing, concepting, and leading creative campaigns
  • Event marketing and/or social marketing experience
  • Media relations, press release writing, PR strategy experience
  • Ability to balance multiple projects under deadlines and budgets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience hiring, managing, and inspiring a small team
  • Passion for attending concerts and events during nights/weekends
  • Full-time salaried exempt position
  • Salary range: $65,000-$85,000
