The Kettle Moraine School District (KMSD) cultivates academic excellence, citizenship and personal development for approximately 3,500 students in Waukesha County. Covering 90 square miles, the District serves all or portions of the following municipalities: City of Delafield, Town of Delafield, Village of Dousman, Town of Eagle, Town of Genesee, Village of North Prairie, Town of Ottawa, Town of Sullivan, Village of Summit, and Village of Wales. KMSD operates five elementary schools (Cushing, Dousman, Magee, Wales, KM Explore), one middle school (Kettle Moraine Middle School), four high schools (Kettle Moraine High School, KM Global, KM Perform, High School of Health Sciences), one virtual school (KM Connect), and one community center. The Kettle Moraine School District seeks a Director of Public Information and Community Engagement. This is an executive level administrative position in the District, with oversight of all aspects of communication and marketing.  

The Director will provide vision, leadership and execution of KM communications, public relations and digital media activities. As the central source of District information, the Director will develop and implement strategic plans for all related initiatives, including complex community engagement strategy support. The Director will also oversee the direction and content of the District website and develop and maintain the District’s social media communications and presence.

  • Minimum five years public or private sector related experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree related to a public relations role and demonstrated strong writing skills.
  • Advanced understanding and use of current technologies, including digital media.
  • Delegation/supervisory skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction on a team and individual basis.

Salary is TBD based upon experience and credentials. This position is full-time and eligible for benefits.
