Cambria is looking for a Public Relations & Social Media Director to lead all media and industry relations. As part of the marketing team, the director will work with key team members and leadership to define and execute our overall public relations and social media strategies. The PR and Social Media Director will manage the development, coordination, and implementation of public relations and social media strategies, with the goal of gaining positive recognition nationwide and promoting our brand through a steady drumbeat of news and social media content that demonstrates Cambria’s value proposition across initiatives.

Candidates must have proven ability to think big picture, while being able to quickly execute right alongside team members. This individual needs to be a strong collaborator with internal partners and outside agency teams. We need a strategic, proactive and energetic individual to dream up creative ways to execute buzz-worthy campaigns, new design launches, partnerships and social content.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports while driving a team 
  • Be seen as a credible leader within the organization and as a subject matter expert in both PR and social media 
  • Strategize PR and social media campaigns for the company and drive his/her team and agencies to execute to high standards 
  • Build and maintain close relationships with key influencers, including editors, producers, writers, and bloggers within local and national media 
  • Develop and drive steady volume of effective PR to keep media engaged throughout the year 
  • Contribute to special communications projects, company-wide initiatives, philanthropic efforts, and channel partner PR efforts 
  • Draft, edit and coordinate distribution of press materials, proposals, strategies, social media copy etc. 
  • Drive awareness of media coverage and activities internally and through channel partners 
  • Act as a company spokesperson 
  • Media train internal and external partners as needed 
  • Identify gaps or white spaces within your department and develop appropriate plans to maximize 
  • Track and report the impact of PR and social media activities

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 10 - 15 years of strong public relations and social media experience, including media relations, spokesperson training, strategic marketing alliances, special events, etc. 
  • Minimum of five years’ experience managing a Public Relations/Social Media agency 
  • Demonstrated analytical and conceptual problem-solving ability; strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills. 
  • Writing samples will be requested as interview process progresses 
  • Success representing public relations and social media on cross-functional teams and developing strategies and tactics for integrated marketing plans 
  • Tenacious, self-starter, and broad strategic thinker with a positive attitude and collaborative spirit 
  • Works well under time pressures 
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products 
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in marketing, public relations, or communications
