Director of Sales, Partnership Marketing

Position Summary:

The Director of Sales, Corporate Partnership Marketing promotes and sells media and sponsorships to Major National Accounts in all Life Time media and athletic event formats, resulting in growth in revenue across all platforms. The purpose of this position is to drive advertising revenue for Life Time through development of strategic partnerships.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promotes and sells Athlinks digital, Life Time Media and Life Time Athletic Events advertising and sponsorship products through direct brand contacts and media agencies 
  • Maintains assigned account list while prospecting for new clients 
  • Compiles industry and category research for the purposes of developing sales opportunities 
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with advertising decision makers for major brands 
  • Communicates to customers how specific types of advertising and sponsorships will help promote their products or services in the most effective way possible 
  • Works with the Partnership Marketing Team to prepare and deliver sales presentations to new and existing customers in order to sell new advertising and sponsorship programs, as well as, to protect and increase existing media and event programs

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising or related field 
  • 5 years or more media and/or sponsorship sales experience 
  • Developing and presenting integrated media packages to advertisers 
  • Prospecting and pitching new account leads 
  • Presenting to and managing relationships with c-suite and decision makers 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Knowledge of marketing concepts and strategies

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of standard office procedures and computer software 
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations in a calm manner 
  • Ability to handle and resolve conflicts in a professional, tactful manner 
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients
