SHINE Medical Technologies, LLC is immediately seeking a Director of Strategic Marketing and Corporate Communications reporting to the President working in close collaboration with the Senior Leadership team. SHINE is a next generation nuclear technology company focused on unlocking the power of fusion technologies to benefit the planet and humankind. The company is focused on disrupting dated beliefs about nuclear by unleashing our exceptional talent to incrementally improve nuclear technology into the future. Historically, a lack of innovation and stagnant thinking has made it difficult for the nuclear industry to confront its criticisms. SHINE is at the forefront of modern innovators in the industry today working to usher in a productive new era in fusion technology firmly rooted in the well-being of our planet and its people. This person will take steps to represent, measure, enhance and enrich the global position and image of SHINE.

The Director will be expected to:

  • Build the global marketing strategy in alignment with short and long-term company goals 
  • Lead the Creative Team to develop and execute marketing campaigns to amplify SHINE’s successes and increase visibility 
  • Direct all staff engaged in marketing/communications activities to ensure a coherent internal and external set of messages and communications platform 
  • Work across the organization’s division leaders developing market materials for product launches 
  • Develop Key Opinion Leader speaker strategy/platforms both internally and externally 
  • Manage the Company’s competitive intelligence and business analytic needs by leading data gathering, processing, and reporting of the industry and market environment
  • Manage a wide range of copy (content strategy/marketing), including press releases, website content, social media posts, and written interviews 
  • Nurture the development of SHINE’s earned and/or paid media strategy; ensure a steady flow of positive news about SHINE and SHINE’s progress driving an increase in national and international coverage 
  • Ensure effective communication to investors from SHINE’s Executive Management as part of the Investor Relations function 
  • Work with Executive stakeholders to develop and deliver messaging describing the organization’s environmental, social, governance (ESG) program 
  • Grow the SHINE web presence 
  • Inspire others within the organization to be brand builders and monitor SHINE’s reputation 
  • Build, manage, and achieve Marketing Department’s KPIs – Monthly, Quarterly, Annually 
  • Evaluate all forms of communications before release to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of message and authorize the release of the information 
  • Manage reputational crisis management efforts as necessary 
  • Direct all staff engaged in marketing/communications activities to ensure a coherent internal and external set of messages and communications platform 
  • Conduct in-house media training 
  • Contribute to investor diligence materials when needed
  • Significant leadership experience managing marketing and communications functions in a public company 
  • 5+ years of experience in leading marketing, public relations or a related area 
  • Possess entrepreneurial spirit, drive and desire to develop within a high-growth company 
  • Proven experience setting strategy, vision, and building & leading a high-performing team 
  • Deep experience in modern marketing automation tools and analytics 
  • Highly motivated and intelligent with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
