Its mission is to further the impact of women leaders in Milwaukee. TEMPO provides members with the opportunity to network with leaders and future leaders and enhance their awareness of issues and trends having an impact on Milwaukee and the business community. TEMPO serves its diverse membership and community through educational programming, networking opportunities, relationship building, and mentoring, with the goal of empowering women to achieve and sustain leadership roles. Additionally, founded in 2015 and supported by TEMPO's strong legacy of advancing professional women, Emerging Women Leaders (EWL) is composed of Milwaukee's rising stars and high-achievers, locally recognized, community-minded changemakers and inclusive up-and-coming leaders. TEMPO is seeking a transformational leader to guide and expand TEMPO programs and strategic initiatives and bring them to new levels of impact and outcomes. Under the direction of TEMPO’s President & CEO, the Director, Strategic Partnerships will manage relationships with key partners and identify opportunities for collaboration. The Director, Strategic Partnerships will oversee TEMPO’s important initiatives including, but not limited to, the TEMPO Foundation, Emerging Women Leaders and Women’s Affinity Alliance. This role will also support the efforts of the Women’s Leadership Collaborative Advisory Committee - TEMPO’s partnership with Professional Dimensions and Milwaukee Women Inc.

  • Identify strategic partnerships for TEMPO/TEMPO Foundation which align with its mission and vision and supports its future growth. 
  • Manage and lead current collaborations with similarly mission-focused organizations. 
  • In alignment with President & CEO, oversee TEMPO’s Emerging Women Leaders, Women’s Affinity Alliance through strategic initiatives. 
  • Support the Women’s Leadership Collaborative Advisory Committee – TEMPO’s partnership with Professional Dimensions and Milwaukee Women inc.
  • Work closely with President & CEO on relationship cultivation and strategic revenue strategy. 
  • Serve as a TEMPO brand ambassador as a highly effective storyteller and relationship builder to inspire potential partners to support organization through collaboration, investment, in-kind donations and expertise. 
  • Ability to leverage social networks and create relationships with a goal of creating new partnerships.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred – preferably in business, marketing, communications or related area. 2-3 years management experience. 
  • Maintains and applies a broad understanding of financial management principles to ensure decisions are fiscally sound and responsible.
  • A creative, out-of-the-box thinker with a passion for strategic and big picture thinking. 
  • Skilled leader and manager, able to negotiate personalities and coach people toward goals. 
  • Able to develop and drive ideas from conception to goal. 
  • Team-oriented, capable of working with a wide range of people to achieve team goals. 
  • Excellent written, communication, including presentation and negotiation skills are required. 
  • Exceptional relationship skills. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to execute the results and prioritize.

Starting salary of $70,000 - $75,000 dependent on experience. Competitive benefits package includes health/dental, retirement savings matched by employer and generous paid time off/flexible work arrangement.
