Job Function:

The Director, Consumer Insights and Marketing Analytics position, is responsible for delivering insights and recommending action based on consumer research and marketing analytics initiatives across such our portfolio including iconic brands such as Pebbles, Honey Bunches of Oats.

As the Director of Consumer Insights & Marketing Analytics, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Major Job Activities:

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify strategic questions for the business that can be solved by this team and champion the effectiveness of utilizing data, analytics, and insights to shape business and marketing plans 
  • Sets the strategy/choices to win for the teams defining the most critical items to work with the end application in mind 
  • Partners closely to understand marketing/brand stakeholder needs and ensure solutions are in place to meet ongoing demands and changing landscape across consumer Insights, advanced analytics and brand experience and design recommendations that directly drive business impact 
  • Drives the development of analytical tools, technology, and data acquisition plans while identifying and prioritizing investments for analytics, insights, and data management across the business portfolio/needs 
  • Responsible for developing and presenting fact-based consumer insights to drive a deeper understanding of our brands/business, in addition to identifying white space opportunities for our brands to increase market share through data analysis and custom research. 
  • Functions as the consumer expert by developing a comprehensive plan to grow share by delivering new and unique consumer insights. 
  • Drive awareness of consumer and marketplace trends as well as competitive activity and emerging consumer trends 
  • Leads with excellent team orientation and interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to build strong cross functional partnerships and work the matrix to reach project milestones as committed

Job Requirements:

Education: 4 year college degree

Experience: Seven (7) years of strategy, consumer research experience and marketing analytics

Skills:

  • 4+ years in leadership and development, directly leading, managing and inspiring teams 
  • 7+ years overall experience, with demonstrated track record of translating advanced analytics and data, and articulating key insights to create value and improve business performance 
  • Experience with analytic/consumer insight tools (i.e., AC Nielsen, IRI, etc.) 
  • Analytics expert with the ability to transform data into business value 
  • Experienced with cross-functional collaboration 
  • Superior analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to solve complex problems and effectively communicate findings in a highly digestible format 
  • Continuously questions data, asking deep dive questions, and pursuing answers that may not be readily apparent 
  • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate organizational skills and agility to determine priorities and manage multiple priorities. 
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be flexible in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment. 
  • High energy and motivation needed. 
  • Must be creative in insights based storytelling, and detail-oriented in ambiguous situations, with a focus on execution 
  • Must stay current with market research and data analytic tools and methodologies
