Position Summary:

Bold Orange is seeking a Director, Technology Solutions, Client Delivery with a passion for leading client engagements by listening to marketing technology needs, leading, documenting, and envisioning marketing technology solutions. This talented and experienceddirector will be at the forefront of technology solution development, client communications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet and exceed client expectations. You will be responsible for turning client needs into dynamic digital customer experiences technology, leading a direct report team of front-end digital technologists in architecting and engineering highly engaging digital experiences.

The ideal candidate will be a client-facing agile minded pivotal force that enjoys engaging with clients, finding the right blend of digital customer experience technology solutions, with a focus on digital and front-end experiences that empower our clients to achieve their business objectives. You will engage with clients, translate their marketing and digital needs into solutions, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that help achieve optimal customer experiences.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Act as a primary point of technical contact for clients, understanding their business needs, and ensuring digital experience and marketing technology solutions align with their goals 
  • Conduct regular client solution meetings to gather feedback, communicate progress, and address any concerns

Digital Experience Delivery

  • Lead and mentor a team of front-end developers to deliver high-quality digital solutions that meet design specifications and user expectations 
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in front-end development, including responsive design and performance optimization 
  • Oversee the selection and implementation of front-end technologies and tools, ensuring they align with industry standards and company goals 
  • Stay current with emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in digital front-end capabilities 
  • Work closely with UX and design teams to translate user experience and interface designs into functional and visually appealing digital solutions 
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages synergy between strategy, design and technology teams

Agile Mindset

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate epics, features, and user stories that reflect client and user requirements into a client’s technology solution roadmap 
  • Work with PMs and Technical Product Owners to prioritize and maintain a technology solution backlog based on business value, technical dependencies, and client feedback Create solution architecture documentation and help participate in requirement gathering and documentation Work closely with strategy, UX, product owner, solution architecture, and engineering teams to solution requirements, address ambiguities, and facilitate a shared technical understanding, both internally and externally

Author technical documentation

  • Create and maintain technical documentation as required, including solution architecture documentation, technical vision, and user stories 
  • Participate in sales and strategic growth 
  • Help respond and be a technical voice for client RFPs, client presentations, and estimate solution delivery

Agile Expertise

  • Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint demo reviews, and retrospectives, both internally and externally

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in a client-facing technology lead role within marketing technology solutions. 
  • Digital experience delivery required 
  • Creative/Marketing agency experience strongly preferred 
  • Proven communicator that drives clarity, consistency, and quality 
  • Analytic mindset and problem-solving skills 
  • Exceptional client-facing and internal interpersonal skills. 
  • Self-starter, driven 
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks 
  • Agile backlog management including prioritizing and planning 
  • Deep expertise and delivery experience of digital front-end experiences 
  • Experience with modern web technologies like React/Vue/Angular, GraphQL, Javascript, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3, experience with mobile frameworks (React Native), patterns and practices 
  • Expertise in scalable frontend architectures like micro frontends and domain-driven design for web and mobile applications 
  • Strong understanding of CSS, design principles, and component library creation 
  • Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
  • Expertise in SEO, web performance and organic traffic optimization 
  • Demonstrated experience with back-end web development, data architecture, structured and unstructured data management, and data transformation a plus 
  • Familiarity with marketing automation (Salesforce, Braze, Acoustic), email delivery, marketing database, API and back-end integration, and analytics, a plus 
  • Ability to collaborate and lead cross-functional teams. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related discipline 
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment where the nature of the work can be variable but the client focus never waivers. 
  • Innately curious, solution oriented, and happy to dig in whenever called upon
