Position Summary:

The Ecommerce Specialist will be responsible for a wide range of ecommerce and online marketing functions, ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of Schmittmusic.com. This role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering an excellent online customer experience. Reporting to the Ecommerce Specialist, the Ecommerce Coordinator will contribute to the growth of our online sales and brand presence.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Product Listing Management:
    • Assist with the preparation, setup, and ongoing maintenance of online product listings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Manage and maintain any external product feeds to ensure accurate and timely updates across various platforms.
  • Website Content Management:
    • Maintain and update website content, including product information, promotional banners, and informational pages.
    • Maintain and set up "Shop My School" pages, ensuring accurate product selections and program details.
  • Online Marketing Support:
    • Assist in the development and implementation of online marketing strategies.
  • Marketing Assistance:
    • Assist with the development of engaging and effective email content and strategies to increase conversion rates and customer engagement.
    • Assist in the graphic design of internal and external marketing communications, including website banners, social media visuals, and email templates.
  • Customer Service:
    • Monitor online orders and process returns, coordinating with the shipping department as necessary.
    • Respond promptly and professionally to website customer inquiries via email, phone, or CRM system.
    • Address and resolve website customer complaints or issues in a timely and satisfactory manner, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Ecommerce, Graphic Design, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in ecommerce, digital marketing, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms, preferably Shopify.
  • Proficiency in basic image editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop or similar).
  • Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.   
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to providing excellent service.
  • Familiarity with online marketing principles and tools (SEO, SEM, email marketing).
  • Experience or interest in photography and videography is a plus.
  • A passion for music and an understanding of musical instruments and accessories is a plus.
