Email & Marketing Automation Manager

We are looking for a collaborative and analytical Email & Marketing Automation Manager to take ownership of our email marketing efforts – including marketing/branded emails, sales communications, automated emails, and SMS – to accomplish a cohesive, strategic approach to email communication. Under the direction of the Digital Marketing Manager, the Email & Marketing Automation Manager will be responsible for strategically planning, coordinating, building, and optimizing single-send emails as well as automated email and SMS nurture programs to drive sales and support company initiatives.


  • Responsible for day-to-day construction and execution of all marketing automation and email marketing campaigns, including building emails, coordinating asset and content creation, collecting and implementing feedback from stakeholders, and managing the email schedule 
  • Create SMS and email nurture sequences/drip campaigns to support the organization’s multiple audiences (including B2B, and D2C) 
  • Manage content calendars and operational details for managed channels. 
  • Write creative briefs including campaign goals and strategic messaging 
  • Support copy, content and visual direction for personalized emails, SMS based on customer behavior and available insights 
  • Build, test, and execute nurture journeys and campaigns to deliver multi-touch communications 
  • Oversee and communicate analysis of channel metrics on a weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis at the program and campaign level. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support multi-channel campaign efforts to achieve company goals and drive results. 
  • Promote and foster a “learning culture” by monitoring latest industry thinking and innovation to inform direction for future strategies/plans 
  • Maintain best-in-class standards for CAN-SPAM email compliance


  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Computer Science, or another relevant field preferred


  • 5+ years of experience with email marketing with at least 3 years of experience with an enterprise-level email service platform (HubSpot, Marketing Cloud, Marketo, etc) 
  • Experience in both B2B and D2C segments preferred 
  • Proven ability to execute A/B testing strategies and dynamic content 
  • Experience designing and building marketing campaigns, creating content, executing campaign automations 
  • Ability to present to and communicate with all levels of the organization 
  • Experience with Google Analytics is a plus 
  • Current on email/SMS trends and policies
