Position Summary:

We’re seeking a talented, collaborative, and hard-working Email Developer who isn’t afraid to challenge themselves. The ideal candidate will thrive on quickly turning email designs and ideas into production-ready solutions and staying up to date with emerging trends and best practices in coding architecture, as well as user experiences, for all email programs and landing page designs. 
 
As an Email Developer at Bold Orange, you will focus on the development and execution of customer-facing email communications and building communication journeys. Beyond email development, you will interact frequently with our clients and must possess the ability to manage any challenging conversation that may arise with professionalism and tact.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain dynamic content libraries and assign them to customer attributes through coordination of coding within the ESP and coordination with our data partners
  • Own and improve email campaign rendering across all major email clients and devices 
  • Work within ESP to develop functional email templates designed around a mobile-friendly customer experience (optimized for all devices)
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with email service provider representative, Email Marketing team, and E-Commerce team as problems arise with tracking, implementation, or deployment of email campaigns
  • Work closely with email marketers, copywriters, and designers to develop, code, and QA promotional, automated, and transactional emails based on best practices and latest HTML and CSS methods
  • Thinking boldly and broadly solving the problem at-hand and exploring fresh ways of doing so and bringing additional ideas beyond the ask.
  • Understand and follow current best practices and trends in digital experiences.
  • Ability to comprehend and leverage insights from research and data to connect with a target audience to meet user’s needs and expectations. 
Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, marketing, advertising, web design, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with email coding and development and demonstrated success in fast-paced marketing or agency team.
  • In-depth knowledge of modern HTML and CSS for responsive email 
  • Experience with Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Hub Spot, Acoustic
  • Proficiency in modern web best practices, including responsive layouts and mobile-first web design, with a willingness to research and learn new practices
  • Understanding of WCAG, ADA, Section 508 compliance
  • Understanding of Dark Mode and Device rendering nuances
  • Understanding of KPIs relevant to email marketing 
  • Experience with email testing strategy and set-up
  • Excellent communication/collaboration and problem-solving skills
  • Highly creative and strategic.
  • Have a keen eye for the details. 
  • Collaborative both in ideation and in receiving feedback.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with ability to multi-task, while meeting deadlines.
  • Enjoy working in a fun, fast-paced environment.
Compensation:

We benchmark salaries across industry standards and local markets to ensure we offer competitive, fair compensation. Final offers reflect a candidate’s skills, experience, and location. Compensation for this role is anticipated to start at $70k.
