The Integrated Fundraising Team's Email Marketing Associate is essential in developing and executing email campaigns, testing initiatives, and obtaining results which will ultimately lead to greater fundraising efforts. As a result, you'll help to carry our mission forward as a ray of hope to the most vulnerable Jews around the world.

Some key areas of focus for this role include:

Production Coordination and Build Out

  • Facilitating the editing, creation, approval, and delivery of required email elements (copy content, video, images, landing pages, email templates, codes and donation forms) across multiple channels and departments in order to meet deadlines for email sends 
  • Building, editing, reviewing and troubleshooting all aspects of each base communication, journey emails and newsletters, including links, copy, templates, design, and tracking codes 
  • Providing fundraising promotional content and approving it within newsletter and education email test messages on behalf of the fundraising department 
  • Upholding our commitment to a consistent best-practices approach for creating email templates, dynamic content, testing methodologies, list segmentation, and inbox/deliverability. 
  • Suggesting innovative new and creative possibilities.

Marketing Analysis and Support

  • Monitoring email send metrics and fundraising results against goals and key performance indicators as provided by department leadership and working with the technical team to QA possible errors or discrepancies in results 
  • Analyzing performance of email sends in order to recommend ways to optimize email performance, personalization and testing opportunities (i.e. revenue, email segmentation, deliverability rates, and conversion rates) 
  • Staying abreast of email marketing best practices, especially in the non-profit industry.
  • Recommending these best practices as they relate to the nature of business at The Fellowship 
  • Helping define and drive email marketing strategy in conjunction with other marketing programs

Documentation and Reporting

  • Establishing and maintaining documentation for standard procedures to execute email campaigns 
  • Working with Email Marketing Team, Web Services, and Analytics to request and coordinate special segmentation or optimization testing requirements for base communication emails in order to execute email scheduling 
  • Maintaining email campaign files, archive email campaigns, and managing other email related documentation

The ideal candidate in this role will have the following experience and abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience 
  • Strong knowledge of the Jewish and Christian faiths is desirable. 
  • 2-3 years of experience in customer accounts or marketing production 
  • Non-profit environment experience preferred 
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to track, manage and prioritize work to ensure internal deadlines, timelines and approvals are met for multiple projects 
  • Demonstrated abilities as a facilitator in the creative development process 
  • Ability to perform detailed work with meticulous accuracy and sense of urgency 
  • Exposure/knowledge of marketing digital tools and techniques highly desired 
  • Understanding of email journey mapping and email campaigns 
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Goal-oriented approach in executing work 
  • Highly effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to both take direction and work independently. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a dynamic team. 
  • Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Strong technical abilities, including MS Office applications, CRM, email marketing tools, the Internet 
  • Working knowledge of marketing automation, ISP deliverability, inbox placement, CAN-SPAM, and related best practices 
  • Ability to type 45 WPM or more. 
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (preferred) 
  • Fluency with analytics applications, HTML, and SQL (preferred)
