Position Summary:

Join one of the top acquiring firms as an Email Marketing Manager! We are seeking individuals who are great with implementing lifecycle and B2B email campaigns to support the sales of insurance products. Responsible for all deployments, journey mapping, list management (scrubbing/loading), A/B split testing, campaign health monitoring, post analysis correction, deliverability optimization and campaign reporting. Reporting to the Director of Analytics, you will work closely with our digital marketing and go-to-market team. Serve as principal email and marketing automation administrator - empowering the marketing team to further its mission to drive sales. You are a data-driven, and code-savvy marketer with experience operating the email channel and creating exceptional user experiences.

Role Description & Responsibilities:

Own email marketing execution from end to end. Manage the daily set-up of one-time and automated email campaigns including - collaboration with product marketing teams to develop optimized content and messaging, email template creation & editing (HTML), brand style execution, list segmentation, asset tagging, asset loading, scheduling, deployment, measuring, testing, optimization and reporting. Create simple campaign landing pages/forms which adhere to responsive html best practices.

Build customer journeys and interactions across the customer lifecycle that drive engagement and sales conversions. Oversees and implements all lead scoring/grading processes and customer nurturing campaigns within the automation tool.

Work with digital marketing and go-to market teams to identify campaign KPIs and benchmarks. Measure, monitor and track campaign performance against benchmarks and drive corrective actions that deliver continuous improvements.

Conduct ongoing A/B testing related to subject lines, email copy, layouts and CTAs that drives conversion improvements. Manage a meticulously planned and documented testing plan/schedule to continually improve performance.

Ensure cross-browser/email client compatibility through testing. Lead and manage ongoing email whitelisting efforts to improve our sender score(s) and deliverability rates against industry benchmarks.

Communicate campaign results, both written and verbal, to marketing teams and stakeholders on an ongoing basis. Create email reporting dashboards (in email platform as well as other analytic tools such as Google Analytics & Adobe Analytics) analyzing campaign performance in order to provide performance transparency to stakeholders and drive actionable recommendations.

Oversee platform maintenance - troubleshoots performance issues within the automation tool and works with Microsoft Dynamics and 3rd party vendors to correct. Recommend and implement add-ons which extend functionality and improve performance. Proactively identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of email marketing programs, platform or processes from in-depth knowledge of campaign management and email execution tools.

Serve as subject matter expert on marketing cloud capabilities, automation processes, lead scoring, lead grading, customer lifecycle development, deliverability and email marketing best practices.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with concentration in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Marketing technology or related discipline 
  • 5+ years of direct experience testing and deploying high-volume marketing email campaigns in an enterprise email marketing platform / ESP. 
  • Experience with A/B testing methodologies - including subject lines, CTAs, messaging 
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Adobe Creative Cloud apps 
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills and a strong working knowledge of Excel (able to build Pivot tables, simple dashboards, models a plus) 
  • Solid knowledge of email best practices, deliverability and CAN-SPAM/anti-spam laws 
  • Solid knowledge of HTML/CSS coding for email, and familiarity with responsive design best practices 
  • Solid knowledge of cross-browser and email environments (Firefox, IE, Safari, Chrome, etc.) and familiarity with optimization tools such as Litmus and Browserstack, etc. 
  • Ability to provide data-driven strategic recommendations
