As a critical role within a collaborative marketing team and under general supervision, the Email Marketing Specialist will assemble, execute, and track email marketing messages that improve and contribute to the overall success of EAA's digital marketing efforts. This position will help move our email marketing campaigns from ideas to delivery with a focus on data-driven decision-making based on detailed analytics and marketing best practices. This position will also support EAA’s other digital marketing needs to meet our business objectives, while utilizing metrics to help us make intelligent improvements and bringing the joy of aviation to our members and guests.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Email

  1. Using HTML, CSS, and email marketing creation tools, build and deploy digital email campaigns, newsletters, and transactional messaging based on established marketing strategies, program marketing plans, and creative briefs
  2. Based on mockups created by the design team, update newsletter templates and code to comply with industry standards and mobile friendliness
  3. Monitor and troubleshoot email coding, technical, and deliverability issues to ensure a consistent and on-brand user experience across all user email platforms

Reporting

  1. Maintain robust and detailed reporting of KPIs and metrics to highlight successes and trends with opportunities and actionable for continuous improvement.
  2. Supply stakeholders with relevant analytics, dashboards, and reporting.

Other

  1. Support and be cross trained in other areas of digital marketing including website design and development, organic social media, digital video, paid digital media, search engine optimization, etc.
  2. Add and update website, blog, and news content into EAAs content management system that are driven by email newsletter teaser content and links.
  3. Implement search engine opitmization and search engine marketing best practices into email campaigns and landing pages as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in marketing and/or a business related field. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in email marketing with knowledge of highly developed knowledge of HTML, CSS, email best practices, spam filtering, industry standards and trends.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to meet the demands of multiple projects and deadlines effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Highly developed interpersonal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Experience using and administering email management software tools (e.g. Marketo, etc.) 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with content management systems such as Sitecore, Wordpress, etc.

This position is a salary position, working full time, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Our business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm with a 1 hour lunch break.
