Job Summary:

The Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day, hands-on execution of email marketing campaigns in support of business objectives. This includes creation and quality assurance of email campaigns, identifying recipient audiences in collaboration with stakeholders, providing creative direction for landing pages, and preparing analytical results for Business Unit Leaders. Additionally, this role will need to maintain a relevant understanding of email marketing best practices and be able to apply them to campaign development and communication with support services.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Coordinate and maintain the email marketing calendar for the company. Collaborate with Business Unit Directors, e-Commerce and Sales to develop and manage email campaigns. Collaborate with Graphics Team on the creative development of email marketing collateral. Create, format and modify emails as per project guidelines for deployment. Ensure that emails meet business objectives and requirements. Lead quality control and testing of emails to ensure a quality recipient experience. 
  • Provide direction and oversee the maintenance of email lists. Identify and target segmented audiences for campaigns. Troubleshoot technical issues related to email delivery and design. 
  • Monitor and provide reporting for email marketing as it pertains to goal attainment. Assist with defining and delivering email test plans for increased conversion rates and make recommendations to stakeholders. Employ relevant marketing analytics techniques to gather important data to evaluate campaigns and measure results. Create email reporting dashboards for Business Units to analyze campaign performance to make actionable recommendations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily HS diploma or GED is required 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Interactive Business or related studies is required 
  • Minimum 3 years of email marketing experience using enterprise email service providers and experience planning and executing behavioral-based or trigger-based email campaigns 
  • Minimum 3 years email and website analytics experience using Google Analytics or equivalent and providing deliverables to stakeholders 
  • Experience in marketing to business to business and direct to consumer audiences 
  • Experience in the animal health industry a plus 
  • Ability to read, write and speak English 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, employment policies, operating instructions, and procedural manuals. 
  • Strong project management skills 
  • Ability to translate digital and marketing business objectives into digital properties and email directives 
  • Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies, subject line, key words and link building via digital messages 
  • Familiarity with responsive design and personalization of deliverables HTML, Illustrator or related skills high desired 
  • Proven ability in effective issue resolution and ability to work effectively within cross departmental environment 
  • Ability to manage multiple email projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment for multiple departments 
  • Exceptional time management, organizational, and communication skills required 
  • Ability to prioritize projects and negotiate with internal stakeholders on deadlines and deliverables
