Join our Madison, WI team as an Email Marketing Specialist working with some of the most recognized bike and toy brands out there - Schwinn, Mongoose, and Kid Trax. Because where else can you play with toys all day?

The Email Marketing Specialist plays a key role in supporting digital marketing initiatives, including digital channel reporting, email channel planning and implementation, and strategic search engine optimization (SEO), among other digital channel needs. In this role, you will be responsible for performance tracking and digital project management and execution working with both internal teams and external agencies in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. While the role will focus heavily on email marketing activities, we would love someone interested in and excited about learning other digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate promotional email campaigns including strategy, set-up, segmentation, tracking, and reporting
  • Plan and coordinate the seasonal updates of triggered and transactional email campaigns
  • Assist Digital Merchandising Manager in developing and implementing a segmentation and data collection plan
  • Coordinate cross-functionally and with vendor partners as needed to integrate enhanced email functionality into the site experience including but not limited to email sign-up lightboxes and in-stock notifications
  • Setup and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and campaign level reports
  • Create and maintain SEO optimized product meta descriptions for Direct to Consumer websites
  • Drive increased web traffic through ongoing strategic organic search optimization
  • Assist Digital Merchandising Manager in developing and implementing SEO strategies that will increase online presence and drive organic growth across brand websites
  • Unique content creation to support SEO across relevant digital platforms including category, product, and site content
  • Act as a category expert providing SEO guidance and recommendations cross-functionally as needed
  • Utilize brand strategy and inventory availability to make recommendations for engaging homepage and blog content
  • Work cross-functionally to request digital assets and facilitate necessary site updates to adhere to the marketing calendar
  • Gather metrics and information from digital analytics platforms to track sales and activity across all online marketing channels, email campaigns, homepages and landing pages
  • Assist in developing and distributing monthly reports and insights on web traffic, trends and insights, and campaign performance
  • Actively participate in cross-functional team meetings to assist with product, sales, and marketing teams to accurately reflect brand strategy across digital channels; share best practices across Dorel Sports

Education & Experience Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in related field with 3+ years of related experience
  • Experience with email marketing and eCommerce marketing
  • Detail-oriented with solid communication skills
  • Previous experience with Cordial (or similar Email Service Provider)
  • Proven ability to create and implement email segmentation strategy
  • Previous experience developing and implementing SEO Strategy
  • Strong interest in emerging trends in eCommerce, Internet marketing, and technology
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Experience working with Adobe CC, Shopify, Google Analytics, Salsify, Widen, and Smartsheet
  • Impeccably organized, a team player, quick to build business relationships, and ready to jump in on day one!
  • Ability to travel occasionally
