The Email Platform Senior Manager is a critical role in the Marketing organization, managing all aspects of the email platform’s global utilization, including the development and application of new functionality, designation as our primary Oracle technical contact, and serving as the organization’s email platform subject matter expert. This role is also accountable for our USCD promotional email deployment which includes program development, dynamic content, and deliverability. An equally important responsibility for the position is personalization strategy which includes data-driven trigger programs, dynamic product recommendations and behavior based dynamic content. This includes identifying new audience segments, designing, and implementing personalized experiences, A/B testing, analysis, reporting campaign results, and maintaining existing programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies, develops, and implements new applications of the email platform’s capabilities globally. 
  • Organizes and leads the integration of new processes and technical activities required to support the email platform globally. 
  • Acts as the global email platform subject matter expert and primary contact for Responsys service issues. 
  • Has responsibility for the accurate and timely deployment of USCD daily promotional email and SMS campaigns including the functionality of dynamic content, links, and tracking, as well as inbox deliverability. 
  • Plans, coordinates, and manages personalization strategies and tactics as they pertain to USCD email campaigns. 
  • Ensures standards and procedures for all aspects of USCD personalization campaigns are met. 
  • Is the email marketing liaison for the identification of USCD personalization opportunities with cross functional teams. 
  • Analyzes and reports on the performance of USCD personalization email campaigns and programs. 
  • Designs, executes, interprets, and reports on USCD email personalization tests. 
  • Acts as the global subject matter expert for email personalization in the corporate personalization platform and trigger program best practices executed with the Email Marketing Platform, including the resolution of issues and the implementation of new technology or processes affecting each. 
  • Articulates and remains focused on objectives; deadline oriented. 
  • Provides innovative solutions to business needs and sees them through implementation. 
  • Orchestrates activities of cross functional teams. 
  • Leads by example and moves toward results with collaboration from management. 
  • Delivers valuable results and answers on time.
  • 5-7 years marketing experience including a deep understanding of email technology. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field. 
  • Development experience with email platform capabilities, preferably Responsys. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of personalization concepts, including dynamic content, trigger programs, and product recommendations. 
  • Experience leading and completing cross functional initiatives. 
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills. 
  • Strong P&L orientation with the ability to measure the impact of marketing decisions. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. 
  • Skilled in the use of PC software applications, specifically MS Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Experience leading and managing teams.
