Email System Specialist

Position Summary:

Dynamic and growing company that is looking for a high-energy team centered person to become our Email Systems Specialist. This person will work with our IT team, and report to the Operations Project Manager. This individual will be expected to manage multiple tasks and have strong project management skills. They will be responsible for email program management and bringing automation into our email marketing initiatives. There will be reporting and analytics in regards to the success of various email campaigns. A high level of attention to detail is a must! This opportunity is not a remote work situation, but located at our Corporate Headquarters.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Rally internal resources for email program, insuring timely deployment of all company marketing emails
• Set up, manage and continually improve automated email campaigns
• Create and monitor A/B and multivariate tests conducted on emails and provide guidance based on results
• Provide reporting for all e-mail related promotional activity
• Learn and manage our email testing schedule to continually improve results from email marketing efforts
• Identify and capitalize on opportunities for automation with the email program (using Silverpop) and within the digital marketing department as a whole
• Provide guidance on email best practices by keeping on top of current trends
• Support marketing team and organization
• Evaluate and modify system's performance
• Publishing articles to Wordpress
• Compile assets for weekly content emails

Skills/Abilities and Education Requirements:

• 1 to 3 years previous experience in a similar IT role
• Ability to work with others, and establish accountability
• Ability to identify and resolve problems
• Experience working with acomprehensive email marketing program
• Understanding of email marketing best practices; experience with Silverpop a plus (although experience with other top-tier email providers will be considered)
• Experience with segmentation and multi-variant testing.
• Knowledge of how to use HTML and CSS to enhance email design and/or functionality.
• Experience with WordPress is a plus.
• Close attention to details and time management
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Skilled with general office software
• Understanding of graphic design terminology, layout, and design standards; uses graphic design editing software
• Familiar with Google Apps and Apple
• Flexible and responsive to changing priorities and deadlines
• The ability to learn new software quickly
• Understanding of marketing and business terminology
• Strong writing and communication skills
