As the Employee Communications Senior Specialist, you’ll support the planning, development and delivery of enterprise communications at Best Buy. In this role, you’ll ensure effective and creative communication through content gathering, key message development, direct leadership support and deadline management – all to shape the internal story for the company and ensure Best Buy employees understand and embrace the company strategy and culture. You’ll also partner cross-functionally to advise key leaders and business partners on strategic communication planning by helping to translate high-level business strategy into key messages that are easy to understand.

This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at Best Buy location and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What you’ll do:

  • Responsible for comprehensive communication planning to include writing, editing and publishing content for various internal communications channels 
  • Ensures successful management of messages across multiple communication vehicles 
  • Collaborates with communications leadership and other team members to recommend an approach for communicating to and for all levels of the company 
  • Responsible for in-depth understanding of company strategy and specific business unit strategy 
  • Advise leadership and business partners on communication needs 
  • Recommend changes to our content and communications strategy and implement changes as needed

Basic qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in Communications, PR or related field 
  • 2 years of experience developing and implementing strategic communication plans 
  • 2 years of experience writing, creating and publishing content across a variety of formats

Preferred qualifications:

  • Project management experience 
  • Experience working with and influencing cross-functional partners and leadership 
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple assignments from conception to completion on a deadline 
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication
