Role Summary:

At WPS Health Solutions, we are preparing now for the multitude of many events that will take place post-Coronavirus. If you are excited about the future, now is the time to apply for this role!

The Event Planner acts as point of contact for multiple external and corporate events for WPS Health Solutions. This role understands the overall corporate strategy to build and carry out event plans to achieve goals. This includes negotiating space contracts, analyzing events and making recommendations for future events.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and communicate event logistics to executive leadership , sales and VIP guests. Oversee visibility and protect brand integrity through booth display and other signage, arrange promotional and raffle items, and serve as contact person for event related questions and decisions. 
  • Research and coordinate events such as seminars and expos, executive level meetings and various corporate meetings and events. 
  • Build promotional plans for sales incentive programs. 
  • Negotiate space contracts and booth event space. 
  • Work with vendors on all contracts, with specific attention to technical liability language. Negotiate changes to put WPS at least amount of acceptable risk. 
  • Collaborate with sales to target meeting and events audience most likely to purchase a specific product. 
  • Create meeting and event resumes and execute logistics for high-profile sponsorships and external events. 
  • Create basic signage and team with design specialist for other needs. 
  • Work with HR and other departments to identify and coordinate employee celebrations activities to promote branding and culture. 
  • Analyze competitors and national trends for senior seminars and other sales activities. Recommend strategic actions to implement. 
  • Provide analysis of post event report and make recommendations on avenues to maximize value of dollars. 
  • Find ways to streamline event and process; negotiate multi-event bundles.

You need to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent post high school and/or related work experience 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Willingness to travel – limited but will happen occasionally (some nights and weekends but rarely)

We strongly prefer:

  • 3 or more years of event planning experience in a corporate setting 
  • Experience with contract negotiation and managing vendor partnerships 
  • Tradeshow experience 
  • Budget analysis experience 
  • Design experience (i. InDesign, Photoshop, Creative Cloud)

Your team:

This team includes 2 peers and a Director. This group is part of a larger Marketing and Communications team that consists of 30 plus members.
