JOB SUMMARY

The Event Representative is responsible for supporting and assisting the Director of Events in all aspects of strategy and planning in the event department. Events strategies include, but are not limited to, customer product trainings, tradeshows, internal meetings, customer trips and special customer events. Strong strategy, precise and creative planning, timely execution and clear stewardship plans are essential in this high-profile position. This candidate must be detail orientated, self-motivated and this person must be able to adapt to last minute changes effectively. Nights and weekend work occasionally required. Meeting sharp deadlines while working under pressure is a must.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Establish and maintain a close working relationship with the Director of Events and other team and company leadership

  • Communicate events approach, objectives and progress
  • Form a partnership with key stakeholders involved in each event

Identify, develop and execute

  • Execute events and tradeshows in partnership with the Director of Events
  • Research event opportunities and understand event’s history within the company (if applicable)
  • Organize event project management list for each event and oversee all aspects including budget, registration, travel and communications

Clearly define business objectives and budget for each event

  • Insure that the event has an effective experience and outcome
  • Update and socialize budgets with key staff and communicate expenses clearly, accurately and on time

Keep accurate records for each event

  • Provide event communication timeline to director and key leadership
  • Make sure all attendees are properly informed of event’s attendees and its activities in a timely, and well planned

Create high touch communications and experiences for all events

  • Provide final briefing memos to all staff, including customer profiles and all event details five business days prior to the event
  • Interact and build relationships with customers and staff during event
  • Steward event attendees and create opportunities for future sales and marketing conversations

Have a working knowledge of Starkey products and an awareness of other manufacturer’s products

  • Successfully complete Starkey’s training programs
  • Complete new product training requirements if applicable

Must have experience in both live and virtual event environments

Minimum Education, Certification and Experience Requirements

Education (i.e. 4-year college degree, license, certification)

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.

Experience (i.e. years of work experience related to the job)

  • Must have 2-3 years of event planning experience in virtual and live events

Knowledge / Technical Requirements

  • Full knowledge of a telephone and teams 
  • Intermediate level of experience required with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Cvent, Webex, and Saleforce 

Competencies, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required for position. 
  • The keen ability to organize many high level projects at once, meet deadlines and stay on budget under stress and pressure required.
