The Executive Communications Project Coordinator supports the Executive Communications and the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) function by developing compelling communications, supporting strategic imperatives and our corporate social responsibility strategy to position U.S. Cellular as a leader across our footprint. This position also works in partnership with our field champions by assisting with the implementation of local market initiatives which build goodwill and demonstrate our commitment to our communities, increase volunteer engagement across the organization, and ultimately enhance our company's reputation.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work in partnership with the Corporate Social Responsibility Manager and the field champions to support and execute strategic philanthropic programs and plans, including charitable giving, volunteerism and associate match that target consumers, community leaders and associates, and drives consideration for U.S Cellular.
  • Support the CSR Manager and field champions with event logistics and implementation to generate awareness and consideration of U.S. Cellular in key markets throughout U.S. Cellular' s service areas.
  • Execute and support associate volunteer engagement programs including training, planning and executing volunteer events; tracking metrics and creating reports.
  • Represent U.S. Cellular at local and civic events in markets.
  • Provide communication and administrative support to Sr. Mgr. Exec Comms.
  • Support data management needs which includes; processing matching gift forms, building and generating fundraising and volunteerism reports.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree in Communications or Marketing or Public Service. 
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple assignments with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines 
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills. 
  • Strong relationship-building skills and experience working with cross-functional teams. 
  • Ability to maintain composure, integrity, flexibility and enthusiasm when working with a diversity of experiences, perspectives and personalities. 
  • Partner with Executive Communications team on specific company-wide business meetings and other projects as needed. 
  • Serve as a content developer creating and planning an annual content calendar to publicize the Company's Corporate Social Responsibility accomplishments and events across the organization. 
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to a work schedule beyond traditional working hours and schedules. 
  • Easily navigates technology; proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint. 
  • Ability to lift to 30 pounds and engage with physical labor associated with loading, unloading and moving project supplies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications or Marketing or Public Service. 
  • Experience in Corporate Social Responsibility, philanthropic initiatives, with shown commitment to service and civic engagement, community relations and communications.
