Responsible for developing content in support of leadership communications including presentations, speeches, articles, etc. to internal and external audiences. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct counsel and coaching to senior executives (primarily C-Suite). Showcases thought leadership, company and industry knowledge in those discussions. Understand and stay abreast of industry issues and trends including knowledge of the environments, regulatory/legislative actions, and consumer behaviors and insights. Demonstrated ability to translate information into communication strategy. 
  • Develop platforms, original content and story-lines for executive communications. Produces pieces including presentations, speeches, articles, white papers, op-ed pieces, organizational communications, panel discussions guides, interviews and earnings overviews for internal and external audiences. Beyond original purpose, proactively finds relevant avenues to re-purpose produced materials. Develops and regularly updates presentation materials for general use throughout the company. 
  • Sources consistent pipeline of information through development of strong relationships across business. Uses relationships to gain knowledge to regularly offer story-lines, white papers and other ideas to be used in executive communications or in other internal and external communications. Provides strategic direction to internal and external resources on video and event production, freelance speech-writing and graphic design. 
  • Provides support for company-wide executive presentations using PowerPoint. Using advanced skills, ensures quality and consistency on all produced materials. Facilitates sign off from Finance, Legal and other business constituents. Track and maintain version control. Organizes completed presentations on DLife in order to share with business partners. Maintains and regularly updates the photo/graphic art library, focusing on usage by the executive communications team. 
  • Develops, edits and/or proofreads Corporate Communications' materials as needed, ensuring accuracy, clarity and brand personality are appropriate. Provides regular content for Dlife.

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Finance, or related field 
  • 6+ years of experience in Communications, Public Relations, Finance, or related field 
  • In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of experience in Communications, Public Relations, Finance, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

If we had our say, we’d also look for:

  • Master's Degree in Communications, Finance, or related field 
  • 8+ years of experience in Communications, Public Relations, Finance, or related field 
  • Prior communications and speechwriting experience supporting C-Suite executives within financial services industry 
  • Strong understanding of multimedia, visual storytelling and modern communications platforms 
  • Excellent writer and messaging expert with ability to simplify and emotively express complex narratives across audiences 
  • Strong executive presence and presentation skills 
  • Ability to work at all levels of the organization to mine stories, plan content, drive initiatives and influence change

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $86,500.00 to $145,700.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
